I booked my Honeymoon through Travelocity.com and I paid for a package deal which included a flight, hotel, and car. A day after booking, I received a confirmation email along with a trip id number. I wanted to make sure that my honeymoon was all set so I went online with my trip id number to verify my reservation and it said no reservation found.
At this point, I am frustrated that the money has already been taken out of my account but I cannot find my trip any where. Since this day I have called Travelocity at least seven times. When I call to check my reservation NO agent can find my trip by my trip id making me very uneasy about this whole booking package deal. After calling three times to get my itinerary emailed to me I finally received it via email.
As I was reviewing my trip details I noticed that a car was not listed on this reservation although when I checked out, it INCLUDED a car. So I called their 800-number once again. I was on the phone with two agents, one supervisor, and a manager on duty for an hour and a half and I did not get my issue resolved. I was put on hold numerous times for 15-20 minutes and all I heard was the same thing over and over...how they could not find my car or help me any further. They basically blamed it all on me.
I am very displeased with the customer service or lack there of that I received and I have not resolved this issue. I paid for a package deal yet a package deal is not what I received. I went online the same night after fighting with Travelocity agents all night and I acted like I was booking my honeymoon all over again and once again, I received the same price for a flight, hotel, and car (this itself should be proof alone). When I saw this I knew that I had a car in my reservation. When I booked this package I had a car on it and that is the package deal I paid for.
I decided to book my honeymoon through Travelocity to have less stress and let them do all do the work and not me and thus far I have been extremely displeased and very stressed out for what was supposed to be an easy process. I booked and paid for a package for three items, car, hotel, and flightthis is what I should have received.
I tried to get a name and phone number for a manager to contact about this issue and the supervisor I spoke with would not give this information to me. According to Travelocity's Bill of Rights listed on their website, I have the right to get what I booked. I booked a car, hotel, and flight and this is not what I was receiving. Travelocity allows you to view your trip and itinerary online yet I am still unable to do this.
I feel as though I was treated very rudely and no one tried to accommodate me. Their guarantee is stated clearly on their website and I wish they would abide by it. I deserve a full refund of my trip or a rental car like I booked but this has not happened.
Since Travelocity has NOT resolved this issue, I am now taking it up with my credit card to dispute this transaction. My situation should have been taken care of according to Travelocity's Bill of Rights which states, "We're proud to offer the Travelocity Guarantee. Backing the Travelocity Customer Bill of Rights, the Travelocity Guarantee is our commitment to you that everything about your booking will be right, or we'll work with our partners to make it right, right away. This guarantee is the only one of its kind; only Travelocity guarantees your entire travel experience on top of having a low price guarantee. Now that's peace-of-mind!"
What was supposed to be an easy free way of booking my honeymoon has turned in to a nightmare. I will NEVER use Travelocity again and I will also warn everyone about my experience. I did not receive what I paid for and the customer service I received was a joke. I called, emailed, and faxed complants and proof of my reservation and not one employee could help me and it was impossible to get anyone with authority on the phone. This has been the worst online travel experience ever.
