When I called them to order my instyler after seeing it on TV, you will be told that you can order just one instyler and you will be offered an upgrade for a "Rapid heat" and express shipping and for extra money. You will be told that it could take a couple of weeks to get this if you don't. You are also told that you have 30 days to return it for a refund if you do not like it.
When I got it in 3 weeks, I was sent the rapid heat, which I said I did not want and I also get the additional charge with it.
Quality_Well it is made of plastic, the barrel only turns one way and if you can use both hands curling your hair that is a "plus" but if you are like me, I am not dexterous and ended up burning my ear. neck and hair. After 3 days of this I said "thats it" and called to get an address to send it back as there was not a invoice with the package.
I ended up calling the number that I called when I ordered it and this is the start of my nightmare.
I have been told, "I'm not using it right and need to try it a little longer",
" a supervisor will have to call me back with a return number to be able to return it" which you will not get ANY call back from them, so after 17 calls to this company many of which I was put on hold for hours you will have what they say is a supervisor tell you that your trail period it up and you can not return your instyler and if you do they will send it back to you.
You also will not be given an address to where you can write a complaint to this company and then you will be told that your 30 days trial perios began the day you ordered it, not the day you get it and I should have got the upgrade shipping.
In my case by the time I got it and they played games with me on the phone for over a week , my trial period was up.
The names of the rude people that you talk to will not give any other ID information and when you call back and tell them who you lasted taked to, you are told that there is no one there by that name.
I was lucky and only paid the $14.99 but the next day after calling them and telling them I wanted to return this , they tried to charge my credit card $62.00 dollars which if I kept this instyler was to be only $39.99 and only 1 of 3 payments.
Now I am getting threatening letters that look like they are coming from collection companies but now I know are Instyler and they will call your home several times a day.
My husband is at home sick and has not been able to work in several months and on my phone it shows where they have called up to 9 times in one day starting around 9:30 AM. My husband will tell them I am at work and they will tell him that they know I am there and will continue to call back unti they talk to me about a debt that I owe that I am ignoring.
I have contacted the NC State Attorney's Office and filed a complaint. I did not go into a lot of detail with this, but wanted to get the point across. Stay away from this company. YOU will spend several hours getting no where with them and they will tell you that you will pay and sending them (Instyler) any complaint is wasting your time. When I asked what I am to do with this instyler that I do not want, their reply was "that's not my problem, that is yours, and you can sell it, give it away or sell it on ebay, we don't care because you will pay for it".
You have my story and I hope it does not become yours.
