We are Extremely disappointed with the Trelora experience. It ended up costing us $20,000 in a lower listing price than was appropriate for the neighborhood. The "Listing team" is unfamiliar with different parts of Denver and strictly goes off what they find in searching sold homes on the internet. They have no idea what the markets are like in the various communities. We had an Open Space backing property in Boulder County and their listing team came up with a price that was $55,000 less than the actual current value. I was shocked and knew that the 420-430k listing price they came up with was very wrong! But, they were of no help in determining the correct price. It turns out the house should have been at least $480. There is no realtor looking out for your best interest. There is no one single realtor who knows all the details about your property whom you can call and get instant information. They operate as a factory processing orders. Every time you call you get another person from a different team so you have to start out with all the details again. Calls were not returned in a timely manner. You could not get ahold of a person directly so you had to wait for someone to call you back. They were not available on weekends. One fellow who answered the phone said the problem was that they were terribly understaffed and they were doing the best they could. Our initial contact with the company, Nathan, ended up quitting during the process. No one told us. Joshua Hunt seemed to be over worked and very robotic like when he returned calls. The Listing Agent Whitney Sweet seemed to be quite young and very inexperienced. We tried the $3,000 fixed buyer's agent agreement recommended by Trelora and found that realtors actually did not show the property. One realtor even left feedback saying "could it be the 3k buyers fee is causing the lack of showings". Once we adjusted the fee back up to 2.8% the showings started. When we did get an offer the Trelora folks were no help in deciding what to do ... they left all the details to us ... they just updated the contracts. We felt like we got no advice whatsoever to help us make decisions. When we did receive a contract every contract deadline was missed. During the process we had no idea what was happening because we had to always waited for someone to call us back.  Twice someone did call and told us they tried to follow up on a showing that morning ... so that was one good thing. The closing was set up for Trelora's convenience. We had to deal directly with the buyer's agent to find out that we could infact move the closing closer so that we didn't have to drive an hour. The buyer's agent knew the details before Trelora even could get back to us. We had no representation at closing whereas the buyer's had their broker. Trelora didn't updating their showing site or listing information because we were getting calls requesting showings after the closing. The buyer's realtors did mention that working with Trelora was very unconventional and odd at times. Overall, we felt that this was a very impersonal realestate transaction because we had no one on our side. We would never hire them again. The best thing to do is hire a local, knowledgeable Realtor who can have your best interests in mind ... just have him lower the commission. You do not need to go to some cut-rate listing service to "save" money because it will cost you more in the long run in terms of money and personal responsiveness. No one in our neighborhood will use Trelora either because of the lower price the whole community was hurt.
