    I purchased a costume from this site earlier this week and paid $37 for 2 day shipping since they said it would get here no later than Friday (tomorrow).  I went online today to check and see if the order had been shipped and to see if I can track it, but it was still in "waiting to be shipped" status. I called multiple times and was put on hold for extremely long time periods.  Turns out that they were out of stock and that is the reason it had not been shipped.  Seeing as the costume should have been here by today or tomorrow at the latest, I was quite surprised and frustrated as I have weekend plans (hence the expedited shipping). They already charged my card the $100 before checking if it was in stock. I am wondering if they even would have contacted me in the first place to tell me that they stole $100 seeing as it should have been shipped.   

    They have now informed me that they will refund me for the full purchase but it will take a whole week to do so.  I checked online and the costume that I had purchased is still there and can be purchased by others.  Please dont use this site because there is a good chance that you will end up spending hours just trying to get your money back after buying something that does not exist in their inventory.  I was rather polite on the call since I know it is not the fault of the people working on the telephone in most cases, but it is rather surprising that I had to insist that they somehow indicate that it is no longer for sale or prevent people from paying money when they are unable to send their product.  When asked if they would have refunded me if I had not spent the 4 or 5 hours trying to contact them, they did not have an answer other than I will tell my manager that you would like a refund.  

    I understand this is their busy time, but they should not be taking money for costumes that they do not have. and if 2 day shipping is requested, than on the second day it would be helpful to be informed that my item was out of stock without having to call for 4 or 5 hours. Do not purchase costumes from this site as they will steal your money and time.

Greetings Andrew!

Your Beauty and The Beast Halloween costume was an extremely hot seller and sold and at accelerated rate and more than we predicted.

You placed your costume order on Oct 22nd, 7:47pm and per our shipping policy (  your order didn’t meet the time for the same day processing cutoff and was processed the following day.

The next day, the 23rd is when we realized that the item couldn’t be fulfilled [especially due to the Premium Shipping method you chose]. We would attempt to reach you on the next business day [as you live 4 timezones away].

The next day, the 24th your girlfriend (?) called us during our opening hours and asked to cancel [beating us to the call/email that would have been sent to you].  We cancelled your order that very day as would have been the case with or without you calling us.  

If you saw the item on our website it’s very likely that the item did arrive after the fact, but please note that this would’ve missed your Premium Shipping option you selected.

Upon a costumer consequently clicking the “Submit” button on our site (if there are no problems with the card):  you will see a “pending” authorization charge on your account until our secure payment processor + the credit card company + your credit card issuer synchronize the transaction based on your available funds.  Many retailers work this way. This is a process that takes 2-4 business days (excludes holidays). That said, this is a technicality we do NOT take money immediately.

With that said, we acted upon your situation in a timely manner, but will be evaluating your case to make sure the “lapse” and turnaround time is much better next time. Please let us know if want to go over anything else in further detail. Thank you.
