The lady from Ohio that filed a complaint on the Tri-Steel Carolina Duplex - that they had it in the yard at Tri-Steel and this happened in 2006 - I think we have stumbled onto something.  That was our Carolina Duplex that was ordered in 2005 and it showed up on their website as a "Carolina Duplex Quick Sale."  When seeing this on the website, we questioning Tri-Steel about it and they acted as though they knew nothing about it being listed as a "Quick Sale."  We had the building completely paid for and to date have never received the refund back nor a building.  Oh yes, they were going to ship it - just wonder how many times this Carolina Duplex was resold and no one got the building nor the money refunded.

The Tri-Steel Carolina Duplex - we paid Tri-Steel by wire funds just under $40,000 for the building - it was supposedly ordered in for us through Marion Baumgartner (Residential Steel Framing Consultant) who signed the contract with us.  Mary Jones was also involved in the project.  Later coming into the picture and speaking to both were Steve Flournoy and Sarah Flournoy (Steve's wife- who is an attorney) when we noticed on the Tri-Steel Homes website that they had a "Carolina Duplex" listed for "quick sale."  We called and talked to Steve, Sarah, & Mary and asked them to deliver the Carolina Duplex which they supposedly had in the lot for us.   Also, when speaking with Mary Jones, she remembered us purchasing the duplex as she was one of our contacts.  From that point, I was referred on to Steve Flournoy and then Sarah Flournoy (attorney handling business for the company) - both assured us that the Carolina Duplex was in the lot.

Finally, after that conversation with Mary, Steve & Sarah, all our calls were avoided, emails never answered, we knew our building had to be scammed.  We kept digging into trying to find people that could give us some kind of lead on this corrupt activity.  Eventually, we were able to locate Jon Reynolds and Marion Baumgartner.  Marion Baumgartner was crying on the phone when I called her and she hung up on me.  Also, someone gave me Barrie Maher's cell phone too - and after talking to her 1 time, she was sure everything would work out okay and she vanished into being invisible and into the ghostly wilderness!!!

Jon Reynolds - For the past 2 to 3 years, I frequently keep calling him on his cell phone asking him when are we getting this building or getting the money back.  He's got a stuck tire in the mud that he can't get out!!  His reply is always - oh' the bank is going to get me the money this week.  One untrue statement right after the other.   Doesn't matter what day you call him he's always going to get the money this week.  He also informed me he was ripped off by the people that worked for him and he was working with investors to have Tri-Steel be an open trading company.

We saw the reports out there on the Ripoff complaints and agree with all of them - as that's how our dealings went with them.     We are very familiar with all the people that are listed in the complaints - as we dealt with all of them plus a few more that I mentioned in the comments that I submitted.  The FBI needs to be involved in this - like they were with Bernie Madolph - also like the Hunt ponsi scheme recently viewed on TV's American Greed.

Hopefully the lady from Ohio that also bought this same Carolina Duplex that we bought and filed a complaint 8-13-2009 at 8:21 AM gets to read this complaint on Tri-Steel.  There were a number of contacts that we were able to make with individuals that this company literally ate their lunch.  Hopefully, justice will be served to all of them in the end - if not in this world, the next world that awaits them.  Not a place you want to do business.

Tri Steel's Long History of Fraud

AUTHOR: John Sheppard - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, December 30, 2012

We designed a new home in 1994 and paid Tri-Steel $8000 for a license and advice on custom plans.  We received nothing and were denied a refund when then Tri-Steel President John Brown claimed that we had broken our contract.

I personally visited Dallas to discuss a refund, but Mr. Brown's son, who had apparently taken control, claimed total ignorance, without apology.  They just don't care, they have no conscience, and their primary intent is to steal your money.

I filed a complaint with the local Better Business Bureau to no avail whatsoever: more wasted time.

This culture of blatant fraud, negligence, contract manipulation and falsified distributor recruitment tactics has been the modus operandi of this criminal minded corporation for 3 decades.

Stay away.  Once stung, run, twice stung, shame on you.
