I applied online for a Tribute MasterCard in response to a letter they sent me, saying that I was pre-qualified. "Sure, why not?" is the usual response with me in this situation, so I did, back in mid-February 2007. I entered the invitation # they gave me, plus some more information such as my SSN and such. By some sort of miracle, I was approved in a few seconds after submitting, and the website asked me if I wanted a rush processing on the card. I thought at that time that I didn't need the card right away, so I clicked on regular processing. I stashed away the letter in my inbox, only to resurface later, in May of 2007. I realized that Tribute never sent me my card, so I contacted them several times. All the responses were: they do not know where my file is (I don't exist on their database), told me to reapply using the invitation # (their website won't let me -- the invitation # already exists; therefore, I exist, right?! Duh!), and the supervisors that I have talked to were going to call me back to resolve the matter.

It's been more than two (2) weeks of calls, and no resolution / credit card still. I am tired of this, and I need an answer. My main concern is that I sent my information online, and they LOST it! For all I know, there's someone out there with my name, and credit card, spending the $2,000 I was supposed to get!

What should I do? I know that I'm supposed to run my credit report, but I want Tribute to be responsible to all this. Aren't they in violation of anything? I'm a loan processor at a bank, and we're supposed to get a notice to the borrower of any type of action we're supposed to give on a loan file within 30 days. Doesn't that apply to credit card companies as well? In this case, neither the acceptance or the declination was ever filed for me.

Never had a problem with Tribute, but had a HUGE PROBLEM with Imagine- they're linked together by First Bank of Delaware

AUTHOR: Elizabeth - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, June 01, 2007

Hi. I actually really like my Tribute card, and I'm really sorry that this happened to you. However, I have had a massive problem with the "Imagine" Gold Card which is issued by the same place.

I applied on April 12th for the Imagine card, and was accepted immediately. They said they were going to take out $4.95 from my bank account, and I'd have my card within 30 days. I thought that was a little long, but such is life, right? WRONG.

It is now June 1st, and I have no card. They haven't taken the $ from my account yet. I have logged over 8 calls to them, and the answer is always the same. It's still pending. No matter how many managers I speak to, none of them can "access my file" and see why it's pending. I finally got really upset with them, and they said they'd send me a letter regarding what's going on.

The letter said that they cannot issue me credit at this time because they already have my social security # on file, and I already have an account. NO I DON'T! I called after I got this letter, and demanded to speak to a manager. Oh, by the way... the number they have on their website will get you stuck on hold for 2 hours at a time. I've put their BEST contact info @ the bottom of this posting.

Anyway, once I called back (yet again) the woman told me very snippily that there was nothing she could do, and I'd have to wait a (get this!!!) maximum of 60 days before anyone could truly access my file and investigate this. What crap is this? I also wrote email after email to the First Bank of Delaware, but I have gotten NO response.

As far as I'm concerned, they are worthless, and truly suck. I mean that in the most "professional" way possible... since they've only been "professional" to me. Yeah, right. I'm about to file a major complaint against them with several different parties. It's not so much about not getting the card, even though I was approved.

It's more about the fact that they have my SSN#, they have my bank account #, and yet they're pretending I don't exist. I hope to God other people out there have better luck than me! Here's the contact info I promised!
