I have been a member of Tripleclicks for a few months now, and had made it a mission to win a physical item that could be sent to me. I researched all the times when the WOW auctions went for a very low price. I then purchased a large amount of credits for auction to ensure that I had a high probability of winning the auction at the times when the prices and biderrs were lowest. Low and behold on MULTIPLE occassions I had several of the same people bidding against me in ALL of these auctions. I don't know how to prove this, but I do believe that they have people that work FOR tripleclicks that have endless bid credits, and are there to ensure that either A) No real members actually win any physical products, or B) They push the price up high enough that there is a very high profit margin on the cost of bids. In one particular example I kept track of how many bids two particular people that were bidding against me and a few people that I believe were also real, and what I discovered, based on the LOWEST possible price you can get credits for, that both of those particular individuals would have spent approximately 3 x what the product that was up for auction was worth at retail prices, AND one of them ended up winning the auction so they would have to pay the additional cost of what the auction ended up at. If my math was remotely correct they would have spent a total of about $900 for a $300 item? This to me says that they had no cost for their bids and apparently NO end to their bids. I myself spent almost $150 in bids for that auction, and that is half what the product was worth.

In conclusion, and like I stated either I have no idea how it would be officially proven, I believe they have staff members that make fake profiles and are given endless Tcredits for auctions and use them to ensure that the auction prices escalate to a level where they always turn a profit. I just feel it is important that people are aware of how risky it is to bid at the Tripleclicks website, and if an investigation ensues I would like to be informed.
