I signed up for the free trial of Tri-Slim 10/1/08, I received my free trial on 10/10/08 and canceled the free trial on 10/21/08. I received a confirmation email from Tri-Slim that all products and services would be cancelled.
Then I recieved my credit card bill in January of 2009 and saw there were two charges for $29.99 each - one dated December 19, 2008 and one dated January 5, 2009 for a My Fitness with only a 1- 800 number to call.
It took several hours or research to find that this was in connection with Tri-Slim - so then I called My Fitness Mentor / Fit Factory and was told that it was in the fine print that I automatically singed up and "agreed" to these charges when I signed up for Tri-Slim. Not only did I not receive any notification from My Fitness Mentor - but I have NO idea what I even paid for, or what benefit it was supposed to be to me. I did not even know anything about this whatsoever.
The customer service agent informed me that they were a seperate company from Tri-Slim and I should have known to cancel this seperately. She was extremely rude and refused to refund my two charges of $29.99 and the only thing she would do for me was to cancel my subscription.
They did not even send any notification with what was the website or usernames and passwords of my so-called benefit of receiving My Fitness Mentor - I guess we are supposed to know automatically what that was. There was NO communication whatsoever from My Fitness Mentor or Fit Factory - whatever it is called at any time.
This is probably the biggest rip - off I have ever recieved. It is also the biggest hoax - as someone would never know anything about this website we are "members" to - if you would not have seen the charge on your credit card. Two entire months after cancellation.
This company - Tri-Slim and My Fitness Mentor have terrible customer service, are a big hoax and to make it worse the actual product sucks!
DO NOT get involved with either of these companies. You will be ripped off and you will be taken for money.
