We bought our 'Bronco' riding lawnmower in May 2008...in using it five times we had to replace the blades three times and the belt twice...what's up with that??? We have a 20 year old John Deere that has cut the same lawn all summer long and is still going strong...
Well, we fought with Troy-Bilt and then MTD about it...they said to take it to one of their authorized dealers...Koeppens Hardware in St. Nazianz Wisconsin. We did on August 7th and it is still there!!! It is now November 30, 2008.

They said to have them look at it and THEY would decide what to do from there...fine! Well, September 29th the authorized dealer came to deliver it with a $199.72 bill! They replaced the blades and belt AGAIN and then had the nerve to charge us for it. We NEVER gave any authorization to fix anything...nobody ever called us. Then Troy-Bilt or MTD said there authorized dealer had the authorization to repair it...I say Yah if they are paying for it!

ow can someone just expect us to pay and pay and keep paying for belts and blades on a brand new lawnmower. They said we kept hitting something...but yet there were worn spots under the deck from something from there manufacturing! Oh but that doesn't matter we were hitting something...how come my 20 year old John Deere blades and belt didn't have to be replaced???

We called the company so many times only to be transferred to this person and then another person to another person...just a bunch of run around and nobody will stand behind their product. This is the worst $1400.00 investment I have ever invested in and I am really pissed off...I told them to just take their new parts off and bring our lawnmower back...the last letter I sent to the customer service representative, B. Booth, was November 7, 2008 and still no lawnmower...I want it back and the first thing I am going to do is SELL IT...and tell everyone what useless companies these Troy-Bilt, MTD and Koeppens Hardware really are. AND I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER TROY-BILT PRODUCT!!!

If you have having trouble with your troy blit product, let's give this company some help. I bought a troy bilt lawn mower 1.5 years ago and this weekend it quit. Screatched like a cat in a tumble dryer while running after reliably working jsut all of the sudden. I went in circles to get service. No one will honor the warranty, not Lowe's, where I bought and not Troy Bilt. I sent an email to this woman who is in media relations .. perhaps she would like more email. They really don't seem to care about that fact that their products fail under normal use. It's rediculous how many hoops you have to jump through and how they toss you back and forth with no resolution. The $30 part that it needs will cost just as much after labor as it would be to buy a new mower. Just stinks. Michelle V
