On 7 May, 2014 I placed an order for a TruConnect Mobile Hotspot (MIFI) for $79.00 plus $5.99 Shipping and Handling, totaling $84.99.  On 09 May, 2014 I received email confirmation unit was shipped.  I received the unit on 12 May, 2014 and tried numerous times to activate it. I then emailed customer support and registered my complaint. I was assured it would be rectified. On 13 May, 2014, TruConnect debited my debit card 10.00 because my account balance was low.

On 16 May, 2014, I received confirmation of my return and refund request. I also received the return authorization and instructions. I followed them and returned the device, (at my expense).  On 19 May, 2014, I received an automated response acknowledging my inability to register the devices ESN. On 21 May, 2014, I received yet another email stating they were still working on the problem.

On 14 June, 2014, I received a credit memo for the original 84.99. It doesn't mention the return postage for the device or the $10.00 debit on my card for wifi. As of 11 Nov, 2014 I have yet to receive a refund. I have called on numerous times and on several occasions, was told a check was sent to my address on record. I asked why a check was sent when I should have received a credit to my credit card (debit card). They did not have an answer. They did say that the $10.00 they debited my checking account was non refundable as was the postage it cost me to return the defective device. Everytime I call them now, they state that I will receive a refund to by debit card within 3 days. This has been going on for months.
