I was contacted in December by a lady stating she was from a company called Trust Benefits. She told me that I could get a credit card with a $2000 credit line for $299. She also told me that I would have the card in 14 days. I asked her if this was legitimate and she responded "absolutely", her name was Jenna Andrews. I gave her information to draft the money from my checking account. She put a man on the phone to confirm my information. I asked him the same question, "Is this legitimate", he said, "Yes it is maam", I also asked him if I would get the credit card within 14 days, he said, "yes". His name was Ron Haley. The money was drafted from my account, December 15, 2003; I received an impressive looking folder filled with garbage and labeled as a credit repair kit, but no credit card. I contacted the company numerous times to try and get a refund but the phone just rings. I have called nearly everyday. Now, the numbers I have say that the phone is disconnected. It is far past the 14 day refund timeline stated in the packet. Can I still get my money back or do I just accept the loss and chalk it up as an expensive lesson learned ?
