This is one horrible airline and its a pity. They have the capacity to become great but the service is horrible. We took our flight from JFK to Istanbul and further to Sarajevo. They lost our luggage there. We were without our suitcase for 3 days and no clothes for the trip. Too exhausted to even bother filing a request for reimbursement we were grateful it came back to us.

From Sarajevo to New York, they canceled our Sarajevo to Istanbul fight without informing us so we showed up at the airport. They put us on another flight 7 hours later. Needless to say we got exhausted just waiting. Finally we get on our flight but we are late for our New York connection- almost missed it. They made us run and put my husband and me in separate seats. Upon several requests we were told to take it or leave it. This despite the fact that we paid for a flight for seats together. In the plane, no one could be bothered to help. Anyhow, we thank our stars we made the New York flight but once we were back we are told the luggage is lost again. It took two days for them to finally locate it and send it back to us. We had to take two extra days off from work since we took the bus from Pennsylvania till our luggage showed up. Again during that time we had no clothes. This time we went and bought one item each for the next day. I mean running around for 24 hours can have its toll!. We were told to submit our receipts and its been two months since. We finally got an email and it said "as per international rules you are allowed one day to submit all receipts'.  Well lucky for me I had originally done that. I wrote back attaching all the emails I sent- in total 4 over a range of a month. And I stated besides that as per the Montreal Convention a traveler has 21 YES 21 days to claim. Since then we have sent 2-3 follow up emails and heard nothing.I mean I come from a developing country so I am used to that service where customers are not treated as well as in developed countries. But for me to say the airline is HORRIBLE is really something. Its a pity again, their food was great, airline was nice, some hostesses are nice. But the rest is also a 0 star.

We plan never ever to take it again and usually dont experiment like that. We are happy with Luftansa or Virgin but because of the Olympics there were many choices left!

For anyone who is interested to look this up the reference number to this entire saga is Reference number# 19968JFKTK?19968/C. We are requesting the claims for the items bought since we didnt have our luggage. A small amount for an airline charging $3700 for two people for this trip.
