A young male came to our door claiming to live in near by neighborhood. Wanting to raise money for his ball team to take trip for final compitition. We were asked to sponsor a number of children from an area childrens hospital, each child sponsored would receive 10 new books and his team would receive a portion of the profits. It was $38 dollars to sponsor a child and he was asking people to sponsor anywhere from 4 to 10 children averaging $152 to $3800 dollars.

After realizing after the fact that this was a scam, I located the individual in a near by neighborhood. I confronted him in someones house just prior to him taking her check. Demanded my check back and the checks of my neighbors. He argued with me trying to convince me his story was real. I asked the homeowner at this point to call the police. He at this point gave me the checks I asked for and bolted for the door. His tag number, discription and copy of his fake receipt were later given to police.

TRSI isnt a full scam!

For those of you that think Tuscan Readers Services is a full blown scam, i beg to differ, some people will try to make up some BS story about a baseball team, or the BBC, or something along those lines, but thats only about 10% of the actual company, the other 90%, if they have people telling BS stories at doors, fire those people, because it can lead to theft through deception. When i worked there, All i was allowed to tell people at doors was the absolute truth, but some of my co workers didn't like the idea i wasn't using some sports based "canvas" but i made many sales on the actual the truth we were supposed to use. If someone comes to your door Saying they are with the National Cash Awards, They work for Tuscan Readers Services, the others that tell you they are neighbors, and you haven't seen them in your life, and they play baseball, or softball, or some other sport, especially Lacrosse , cause no one really knows that much about the sport they are probably part of that 10% that do things that aren't legit.

As for the people that i sold magazines to, i always told them That i was strictly out for my own personal gain, and I was selling them magazines, and thats cause my own conscious wouldn't let me lie to people at doors. Now If you do buy from one of these kids that say they are with sports, just realize, they are trying to make a living and it a bit easier if you think they are a neighbor, so just buy their story, cause the magazines do get sent to the troops, or to local area children centers and the like so they are doing good through their misdeeds, and are almost the modern day robin hoods, though some will sell you kids books and change it to magazines, though those people were all fired from the company as soon as it was discovered they did that. And also, in case you didn't know, there is no Para-Olympic softball or baseball team, so don't even let them try to get you with that. But just remember, they may be lying through their teeth, but they're trying to make a living and the owner of the company doesn't condone people not using National Cash Awards.

Thanks for reading this, and if you ignored it, please remember, that i was there, and i could have been at your door sometime in the past year, and you probably helped me out, or turned me away because you thought i was a scam when i told you i was with the national cash awards program.
