American LeisureEasy Saver I just noticed two charges that have been made monthly to a checking account over which I have power of attorney. My sister is a 74 year old woman who has suffered brain injury, but is very lucid and careful with her money. In April she bought an excercise machine "Big Red," by phone, using her Visa check card. She gave no other authorizations. In April two charges were made: ripoff Blue Ridge Summit Pennsylvania

On April 25, my 74 year old sister, over whose account I have power of attorney, bought a piece of excercise equipment using her Visa check card. On April 30, two charges for $1.95 appeared on her account, one from American Leisure, one from Easy Saver. In May 27, June 24, July 22 and August 22 these two companies charged her account $14.95 each.

Julie is very lucid and careful with her money, and although she has suffered a brain injury, she never authorized these charges! It is rare for her to use her card, she prefers cash or check, so I believe that the "Red Fitness" fraudulently used her credit card number again. I did not notice these charges until August 22

She called on Aug 26, but could not speak to an actual person until August 27. The customer service representative said that Julie had to write a letter so that they could decide if they would refund any money. She also said that "from your record it is clear that you bought vitamins or a fitness device."

The fitness device address is Genesis Brands, 8752 Westpack Dr., Houston, TX 77063,
Tel 713.532.2408, www.RedExcerciser.com.

I will copy the MPR, NPR, CBS and anyone else who has an interest in combatting fraud, especially perpetrated on the elderly and vulnerable!
