U Haul ripoff Fraudulent billing, pencil wiping your mileage if you pay by credit card corruption Chester Pennsylvania

On January 18, 2003, I reserved a UHaul Truck. It was $19.95 for the truck, .89 a mile (weekend rate) I declined insurance because I have my own, $5.16 tax.

I went no more then 10 miles, I map quested the distance $8.90 total cost for miles. The full cost should have been $34.01.

Uhaul charged my credit card $50.27. I called them to ask WHY, they carged my card so much, they said that I rented the truck and a Eric Jones returned the truck. I have know I told them that I have know Idea who Eric Jones is. I picked up the truck at 2:15 pm and returned it the same day, three hours before I was scheduled to return it.

I traveled no more then 10 miles, even the gentlement from Uhaul agreed, that the location I went to was not a 30 mile distance, he said 5 up and 5 back roughly. So I submized that they must have inadvertently included the next individual that rented the same trucks', mileage on my account. That is why the mileage was so high. I made that suggestion, the gentlemen quickly said, that we do not know where you go with the truck when you take it off the property and that was that. Even though clearly some one elses name was on my contract as the returner.

This was the conclusion That I got after being on the phone for almost 1/5 hours with U haul.

U Haul found it necessary to beat me out of $15.99.
