U-ship pet transportation services

AUTHOR: Anonymous - ()

POSTED: Sunday, November 16, 2014

I was also trying to buy a puppy from a guy who used the company above. They sent me an email and made a phone call demanding that I send them money immediately, as in leave for the store right now, to get money transferred by means that provided me no protection. Their web site is poor, loaded with spelling and grammatical errors. I am surprised to see remarks here claiming they are legitimate. The email they used was uship@usa.com. The contact info they provided was:

U-SHIP PET TRANSPORT
All rights reserved. © 2013 U-Ship, Inc.

411 ELMWOOD AVE LBBY  BURLINGTON, VT 05401-9998

They used the same sob story as in the original report about the wife being the breeder but she had recently died, so the puppies were being sold at a big discount.

ALWAYS deal direct!

AUTHOR: LF - ()

POSTED: Saturday, April 06, 2013

I own a professional pet ground transport company and we have encountered people we have NEVER emailed or spoken to, asking where to send their money. Upon a little investigation, it quickly becomes apparent someone has tried to use OUR good name to scam money from an unsuspecting pet buyer.  Fortunately, no one has been fooled in connection with the scammers who have tried to point to US as the transporter - but it hasn't been for lack of trying!

For this reason, we created a page on our website that advises potential customers to ALWAYS deal with us - DIRECTLY.  They are encouraged to click on a link embedded in our website that will allow them to email us, and our phone number is provided so they can contact us directly if they have any additional questions.  We rarely (and only under certain conditions) accept payment from a breeder - instead, we prefer to work directly with the new owner ... the person who is spending the money, in the first place.  We want the new family to be comfortable with the company who will be caring for their new pet until they arrive.

If there is ANYTHING that causes you to hesitate while dealing with a breeder or transporter - STOP! Do not send money! Do your research! If a foreign country is involved, that may be as much research as you need to do to learn you are being scammed.  Cameroon is a top red flag!!  If they don't answer the phone, return phone calls or email - be wary!  Chances are, it's a scam - and there are plenty of puppies, dogs, kittens, cats ... sitting in shelters across the U.S. ... many are purebred ... who need homes.

U-ship had nothing to do with this

U-ship didn't scam you. Some scam artist god knows where did. u-ship doesn't even have a number on their website to contact them, its just an email. You were taken all right, but U-ship played no part in it at all. And besides your average breeder that ships pup will use an AIRLINE vs ground service. Its faster and generally cheaper for the buyer. If they ship a pup via ground its because they or someone they know and trusts is transporting the pup. Also they have your pay for shipping at the same time you pay for the pup.

i asked the man if i can pay with a creidt card he says no mot now the machines are down so i say ok so i send the money  "

Let me guess.    Western Union?  MoneyGram?  GreenDot?      The reason that scammers insist on using those services is because they are untraceable.   Just like handing cash to a stranger.

There was no puppy.  Just some pictures on a website.   Your money is very likely making some African scammers very happy.  This scam is common to Cameroon in East Africa.

"  i want to bring justic to these people  "

Don't waste your time.  They're not even in this country.   The email addresses and phone numbers are temporary, throwaway contacts.   They won't lead anywhere either.

Your best bet is to move on and vow never to send untraceable cash to people you don't know personally.
