Rather than continue with responses to each report here, I thought it easier to make one post and hope for the best. The goal being to generate a database of violations which can be presented to UACC/ UPFC hopefully large enough to get the company's attention so the issues can no longer be dismissed by the upper management etc, and if necessary go to the proper agencies with said information and motivate this company through government intervention and court fines.

For consumers...
There is no point to arguing the interest rate or the overall quality of the vehicle. You signed for both when you took the deal. On the other hand I would focus on their treatment of you. Has UACC called you at work when you have already told them to stop calling there? If so get a witness and document each occasion. A cease and desist letter might be a good idea if you do not want any contact anywhere, but then your car might vanish if/ when you go past due.

Have UACC or it's representatives called your references/friends/relatives/neighbors/coworkers more then once or even every day? Get a witness and document the occasions. Has anyone at UACC disclosed private information to a 3rd party without your consent?

Document it, get that party to sign off on it. Keeping in mind here we need credible witnesses, your piano teacher, pastor, mailman will do nicely, but prefer not to have a person with a criminal history the length of your arm. Hopefully that is understood. Another thing to look at even if your account is current is this...ask your Human Resources rep wherever you work if anyone has recently submitted a verification of employment on you. Most of the time your employer wants to see your signature releasing this information. If the reply is yes secure a copy of this form and you may just see a signature that you never placed on that form. Now compare that signature to the one on your contract at UACC and/or your credit application. Any similarities? Imagine we all know what that is called...yup. ILLEGAL.

Not sure if this goes across the board at UACC but witnessed this several times. You may also want to look out for equipment variances. Yes you ask... what are these? Say you buy a car for $10k and we show it has a sunroof, which as an option may be worth say $400. When the loan is verified with you, also known as an RCV, we find there was no sunroof, so UACC tells the dealer he owes $400. The dealer pays it back, but where does it go? You will likely notice the loan still carries the $10k balance plus interest accrued daily since you took the loan. So again, where is that $400? It may somehow be calculated back into the balance, but when I inquired on this issue I was told it does not, nor did I see it come out. So if true, figure on that $400 accruing interest throughout the life of the loan at 24-25%. It adds up! Here are a few pointers anyways, but again stick to facts only on this, no feelings about the rate or the car as you already condemned yourself to those when you took the loan and only place your credibility at risk when you argue those points. Stay with clear violations such as the FDCPA, privacy laws, phone harassment, placing your signature on a document aka:forgery, threats of legal action or repossesion that never materialize, etc as these issues cannot be ignored as UACC might like to do.

For employees past and present...
Are you being instructed to copy and paste signatures of consumers/ debtors from one document to another? Are you being told to clock out on kronos and return to work as UACC does not pay overtime? Perhaps your manager has told you to call references every day, leave revealing information on answering machines or with 3rd parties? Maybe you are calling a place of employment despite being told by the debtor or by the employer themselves to stop calling there? It may also be possible you no longer see a break and/ or lunch during your workday? Do the letters you manually send to the customers clearly show the name,address, account#, balance, etc thru the clear plastic window? How's about those field calls? Been leaving door tags that show United Auto Credit, vehicle type, and DEBTOR written in large print on a brightly colored label for all to see? That more than implies a debt -it states it outright for anyone knocking on their door. As to threats of repoing a car or taking actions against a debtor without the actual and immediate intent on following through on these statements? These are a few things I have seen. How about you? Keep in mind, if you are caught violating the law and a consumer/ debtor decides to call you on it and go to court, YOU are personally liable, not the company, and do you really think that UACC is going to cover your court costs or toss the $2000-3000.00 or more in your direction to pay the settlement to the person you were trying to collect from? Despite what your manager tells you, you are liable, your name will appear in the courts, and your wages, checking accounts, etc are what will be paying that settlement, not UACC. And chances are you will not even be pulling a paycheck at UACC after such a proceeding, let alone any other collections based company if you stand out as a problem to potential employers. Please note this board with any such violations. and again please keep it honest and to the point, no exaggerations or convenient exclusions like some ABM(s) I know. Just the facts ma'am. The best option is to go to the UACC website and submit information/ concerns to the whistleblower hotline and at that point the company is put on notice and you are henceforth a protected class. We also need to get the consumers or as UACC prefers to call them "debtors" involved in the forgery issue. If even a few of these victims get attorneys and go after UACC for criminal misconduct, then I would assume a government agency might take notice and pull out a full investigation of UACC files. The beautiful thing about this is that UACC likes it's audits so these forms are in the files and vi'd in audit. So if the branches tried to hide them after the fact then we could ask how the audit was passed as the info isn't there now?? Then UACC could be charged with any number of crimes involving tampering with evidence etc. As to the overtime for hourly employees, I addressed this with HR 3 weeks ago and although they claim to be putting a policy into effect to prevent this in the future, no mention of compensation for the offenses that have already passed has been brought up, so I am going to the Dept of labor to allow them to pursue UACC accordingly. As to the variance issue/ aka "double dipping", we also need consumer involvement. So in other words, let the dept of labor hit UACC for the overtime violations, and get the debtors involved on the forgery and variance issues. I need to look into it, but the comptroller may be able to pursue the variance? UACC allowed my ABM to let me go about 3 weeks ago as she submitted a list of false allegations on me. So now that I have some spare time on my hands, I will take great satisfaction in causing as much a headache as possible for this company and shut them down or clean them up-their choice to make. Either way, I hope we get support from other employees and get the consumer involved as that is what the press will lock on to and that is where we will succeed in getting attorneys and government involved in the resolution of the problem that is UACC.

Yes to all of the items. As a current employee I am horrified on a daily basis. As a CSR I have told to copy and past signature for voe and vor. As a collector I am ordered to run and re-run credit reports to find new info. We are told to call courts to find out if debtors have a criminal record. If they do have a record and are on probation, we are told to contact probation officer and tell them debtor is delinquent.

Sometimes we just threatened the debtor about calling a probation officer. Then there are the commidity verification...why doesn't the debtor get the money? UACC is double dipping. What can be done? any ideas
