As an Uber driver, I feel it necessary to warn other Uber drivers about Uber's promotions for referring new drivers. In October 2015 Uber offered a promotion to increase the referral fee to $400.00 instead of $300.00 if the new driver qualified, hit the road in October and completed 20 trips before the end of October. My referral accomplished all of these requirements within the October time frame. Uber only awarded me the original $300.00. When I contacted Uber support, I got a run around. After two days I received a reply asking me to submit all of the information about my referral. I did this the same day as requested.
After two more days, I received an email confirming my referral did complete all of the requirements and that I would receive my $300.00 award on my upcoming payment. They claimed they could not verify the promotion regarding the additional $100.00 I spoke of. I forwarded the email promotion to the support desk once again explaining the situation. I have received no further communication from Uber and was awarded only the original $300.00 and not the additional $100.00 promotional fee offered in their October promotion. This leads me to warn other drivers not to believe Uber will step up and honor their promotions.

Thanks for asking. No. They used the link provided in the invitation I sent them with my code. Uber recognizes my referral and recognizes he did complete his obligation and that he completed his 20 trips before the October end deadline and Uber did pay me the referral fee of $300.00. They just did not honor there additional $100.00 award.

The e-mail you showed has a unique link the Referal must use.
Did they use that link to sign up?
