Rented a truck from U Haul in Suffolk. The truck was packed with furniture from a 3 bedroom house. Once the truck was filled it wouldn't start. We called emergency roadside assistance was called. We were told we would be receiving help within the hour..it took 4 hours before someone arrived to change the battery. No one called or checked in to see whether we were okay in the sweltering heat. Once we finally got back on the road it was difficult to drive the truck because the acceleration was soo slow. Uhaul customer service was called and notified several times regarding our dissatisfaction of their services. They noted and reported the situation and reassured us that it would be taken care of! What was "taken care of" was my account being deducted $97.00 for my inconvenience. We didn't ask for one month of free storage but was told that was all they could do. Clearly that was nonsense! We would have preferred a truck rental waiver and the option of one month of free storage rental if needed. We have tried being amicable with this facility but I would never refer anyone to this location. We just want our money back for the hassle and hardship that took place due to their truck breaking down.
