..and see if anywhere in it the manufacturer recommends a transmission flush. Seems to rarely if ever be the case.

Be happy if they didn't do the tranny flush. All you need to do for proper maintenance is drain the tranny and replace the filter and fluid. It is a known fact in the industry that tranny flushes can actually destroy the transmission. Internet search it.
