I hired Ultimate Pet Websites in October 2011 with a promise of a complete design of our new small business (pet service) website. We were told they could include enhanced features, search engine optimization, and would grant us full access to the editing software with the ability to publish changes. We paid $1149.00.

Our request was granted to have it completed by no later than Dec 1st 2011. We were assured it would be complete within 4-5 weeks. I heard nothing else for the first four weeks. I asked to cancel, not having a good feeling about my decision or confidence in the designer I was assigned.  I had not seen even a first draft. But, was reminded of the time frame and assured they would be more responsive.

I spent 10 weeks of near daily checking status, only to find nothing done. I was sending very detailed ideas and specific scripting, images, and instructions for revisions. I was creating every page top to bottom of what I wanted. Still they would never get done I gave up. What they had created in the 10 weeks, was nothing close to a professional site. It was ridiculous to say the least. This company is the biggest scam out there!

They would not respond to emails requesting refund. Phone calls were painful as they were very unprofessional and standard response "we do not give refunds" over and over.  The phantom owner never contacted me after many requests for refund.  I still today (Dec 30th 2011) have no site and only a refusal of a refund of my $1149.

DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY!!

BBB Mediation Update

Justin from the BBB was able to work with both myself and Ultimate Pet Websites to reach an agreement.
 
Ultimate Pet has agreed to:
 
1.   Assign a Dedicated and Experienced web designer to Design my site.
2.   They will be correcting the broken links and adding the ecommerce store, which I paid for.
3.   Due to the length of time this has gone on, I asked for a 25% discount. They have agreed to give me a 25% discount in the form of hosting fees but no refund.
 
 
Ultimate Pet Websites has made a condition that since they have agreed to my conditions, I needed to post an update that they are attempting to correct the situation.
 
 
I will remain hopeful that they follow through with the agreement and both sides can finally move on.

You are a SCAMMER - PERIOD. Proof below!

You can backpedal but the truth will set you free.I already know your game and others will too.
1. You make it sound like you care
2. You make it sound like" youre doing what you paid to do

**THE REALITY**
Your GAME LIE, LIE and LIE SOME MORE.

You did THROW up 2 sites, not the 2 you gave url the 2nd url, I created, NOT YOU! And actually, after which, you emailedfor any other suggestions!.you did not design anything worth the money you basically stole, your sites one word to describe horrible!

Lets see what / why an employee of yours decided to leave your company, shall we?!

2 Statements from YOUR Former Employee CONFIRMING MY Claims:

1. All this company cares about is getting money at any cost and for us (the employees) to lie to our clients constantly just to make them happy and to avoid giving them a refund
 
2. As for the designers, even though they may be nice people, quite a few of them knew nothing about web design or design in general. The entire time I was there, there was only one other female that was actually a web designer.

It is very simple Jared Zollner, I have now posted my experiences with your company on 2 consumer complaint boards and filed a case with the BBB. The BBB would not have opened a case against you if I did not have valid claims (your former employees confirmation to every claim I have, helped greatly!). If you continue to choose not to provide a full refund, then I will continue posting my horrific experiences with you, in hopes to stop even 1 person from giving you a dime!

Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns. I would like to take a moment and address a few of your concerns.

As you know, we have worked diligently on your website, and to date (eight weeks from the date of your purchase), have created no less than four sites for you.

As you know, our policy is to create for a website that you are satisfied with, no matter how many changes to layouts it takes. We have done that, and in your case many times. As a business, we cannot however design several sites (one of which based on your Word document) and refund the fee for the website as well.

As for not hearing from an owner, we are a corporation, and while small, we do not have one central person that would be ignoring you in any way. I would appreciate if you could let me know who you were attempting to reach.

As stated, we will devote any and all resources and time to making your website exactly what you desire it to be, but as with any creative process, we depend on you to guide us in a direction you are happy with.
