I spoke with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police today after seeing an article about 8 in montreal arrested for dvd pirating. The police office could neither confirm or deny that these were the individuals responsible for Ultimate dvd shop, because they had not been charged with any crime yet, But expect to in the future. He said that many packages were confiscated from the warehouse and from post office. He said that many of the people that complained were also charged that mysteries amount of extra money that they claim that the credit card company charges as a surcharge. Hopefully we can get a little justice

I spoke with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police today. On Dec 19th there was an arrest of 8 people selling pirated Dvd's. The Police officer couldn't tell me if this was the group they arrested, because the 8 had not been charged yet and they are still investigating them, but took a complaint about this company. He knows that they are still up and running and they can't be shut down until after they have been charged. I have also filed a complaint with the better business bureau and the american motion picture association for piracy.

If anyone has bought anything from them and feel that you have been ripped off dispute it with your credit card company, but you only have a limited amount of time to do this. Hopefully they will be shut down soon.

I have done a little research into this company. They have lots of names ie. 1.DVD Avenue,
2.tvaddicts
3.TVDVDPlanet
They are all out of Canada. Please do yourself a favor and don't order from them. If you do get product, it has been reported that it is copied off of the tv. even with tv logos (CBS) on the copy. I am sure the will change their name again, so be very careful ordering dvd sets. Check and make sure the series is available in a dvd set. They have many that aren't sold in box sets so this can be a good clue.
