April 22 I ordered the free ($4.87) UltraP/M diet pills that were advertised online.

So far I have been charged $92.90 for items I never asked for and a web fitness program I had no idea I was signing up for.

May 13: I called 1-800-757-1279. This was the requested way of handling the cancellation --as stated on the packing slip of the UltraP/M order. The operator said she would cancel my order.

May 24: I noticed a $44.90 debit to my account from ULTRA LIFE. I called the number on my statement to find out what this was for. That was when I found out that the operator had not cancelled future shipments. It was explained to me that the order was already in the mail so it could not be cancelled and neither could I get a refund. By the way, I never did get the item.

May 31: there was another debit to my account; this time for $24.00. I called the number given on my statement and was told this was for a membership to ULFIT. I told the operator that I had never heard of such a thing and did not want it. She explained to me that the program was connected to Ultra PM. I restated that I did not want this membership. She said that she would cancel the membership and that there would be no further debits made to my account. When I asked for a refund of the dues that were taken from my account she said I could not get a refund. I was so dumfounded that I didn't think to ask why! The membership package arrived several days AFTER my account had been debited.

June 27: yet another $24.00 debit showed up on my bank statement. I sent an email to the web site reminding them of my phone calls and asking for a refund. The web site stated that I could expect to receive a response within 24 hours. To date there has been no response.

June 30: I made another phone call to Ultra Life Fitness. This time the operator put me in contact with someone else. I did not get his name. I was told that two emails had been sent giving me the option to opt out and the details regarding my membership BEFORE they charged my account. I never saw such emails. If they were sent at all they were probably sent to the Junk Mail folder. He explained that I had signed up for this when I paid for the FREE 21 day trialthat the membership was/is written into the Terms and Conditions. At this point I realized it was my fault because I did not read the fine print. BUT, I reminded him, that did not change what I was calling about. I was looking for a refund of the $92.90 that they had taken from my account. In response he, sternly, informed me I could take care of all that by going online and canceling my subscription -- that I could also offer my billing concerns to that web site (ultralifefitness.com). This I did as soon as I got off the phone.

July 1: Went to my bank (Wachovia). They were most helpful and happy to help with my concerns. They promptly filed a fraud report and cancelled my debit card number. Ultra Life Fitness and UltraPM will not get one more dime out of me!

In short I learned a big lesson about ordering online. From now on I will be SURE it is a reputable company by checking with web sites like Rip-Off Reports. I will also read VERY carefully the Terms and COnditions. And, just because a doctor says something is great --it ain't necessarily so! Those pills aren't worth the bottle they are sent in. As for getting any reparation for my stupidity? The rest of the story is in God's hands!

My Experience with UltraPM

AUTHOR: Julie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 09, 2005

My name is Julie. I am from Bellevue, Washington. Almost three months ago I purchase the PM product with the hope of losing weight. I started taking the product twice a day at the request of the representative John. He said I could take 3 pills in the morning and 3 before bedtime.

It is now almost three months later. I have lost almost 60 lbs. During that time I have been walking almost everyday with my sister Janene. I stopped snacking after about two weeks. I knew the night time snacks were killing my objective.

Although I still have at least another 40 lbs to lose. I have been pleased to see a response to my weight.

Just the other day I wanted to learn more about UltraPM and found this website. I was concerned to see so many people upset. I was wondering if you ever tried the product? If like me you have a lot of weight to lose, I recommend that you take six pills a day.

At first I started to get a rash but the company representative advised me that I was not drinking enough water. So I started consuming more water by buying a 16ounce container from the grocery story. I also started to drink distilled water because I read that it is the most pure water available.

I was not surprised to receive another bottle after thirty days because that is what the company website said it would do. If I did not like the product. I had thirty days before the next order to cancel.

It appears that some of the people filing complaints on this website appear to be less than educated. I wonder if they know how to read? That would explain their frustration with the agreement to order the initial sample.

As for Paul, I am so glade that he came to his senses because he was making claims all based on his lack of knowledge. Although it takes a good person to admit he was wrong.

I did speak with my local pharmacist regarding the "dog pill theory", he claims that Paul's comments are rediculous. My pharmacist even said that in many cases vitamins for animals are better than those developed for humans. The pharmacist concluded that he has never seen any apple cider vinegar product for animals.

When it comes down to it I am not an advocate for UltraLife Fitness as much as I like to see something that really works. Good luck to you all.

A word of advice my friend gave me was not to focus all your engergy on the problems in your life. Try quickly to resolve your problems then move on. It is a waste of your time to try to destroy someone else. Start focusing on you and what you can do to change your habits and behaviors.

I called this company today and discussed this situation and my prior comments with them

AUTHOR: Paul - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, August 05, 2005

They answered the phone on the first ring, and the person who answered dragged someone out of a meeting so that they could speak with me. I proceeded to discuss this situation with the individual for 30 minutes or more. In that time, they explained their company's products and marketing strategies.

First, let me say this. I assume everything is fraudulent. Every time I read something here, I automatically assume that the complainant is presenting the truth, or at least the majority of what they say is truthful. After all, who would file a fake complaint?

Because I assume everything is corrupt, I avoid most things that other people take for granted. For example, I would never consider buying something off the internet. I've never bought anything off eBay. If everybody thought like me, there wouldn't even be an internet because nobody could ever make money with it. There would be no e-commerce sites because nobody would be willing to participate in the commerce.

In addition, I'm probably the only person in this whole country who doesn't have a telephone. There are three reasons for that. First, no fraudulent company can ever call me. Second, I don't have to pay all the fees that go along with a telephone number. And, last, nobody can ever bother me when I'm asleep or doing something important. I tell all my friends to drop by if they want to talk. You'll never see me yakking away in traffic instead of paying attention to the task of driving.

I avoid so many things that could possibly involve fraud. I have no checking account or credit card. No debit card either. Zero credit. You won't steal my identity because there is nothing to be gained from using it.

It's not just fraud either. Long before the intrusive searches, I avoided the airlines because I was always afraid the parts would bust off and the planes would crash. I point to products like Vioxx and use them as a reason to avoid taking any of the new drugs that pharmaceutical companies have developed. Because of the accounting fraud, I would never buy stocks or mutual funds.

The list goes on and on. Show me a negative situation or a loss and I'll devise an extreme measure that precludes any possibility of it ever happening to me. In short, if anything even looks remotely like it could be bad, I will avoid it for the rest of my life. This is the reason that I have never lost one cent to scams or frauds.

On the other hand, I miss out on some viable opportunities because of all my precautions. I realize this, and I'm OK with it. It's not like I'm doing without things that I need. A phone, to me, is more of a nuisance that a necessity. I don't want to jump every time the thing rings. Not only do I avoid the fees, and the telemarketers, but I get the luxury of never having to be bothered.

That being said, after speaking with the individual from this company, I realize I don't have enough information to make an accurate judgment.

This company claims that their pills contain diuretics and appetite suppressant ingredients. If that's the case, they could be beneficial to someone who is attempting a weigh loss regimen. While the best way to achieve true long-term weigh reduction is through a combination of diet modification and an increase in physical activity, most people are simply unwilling to do those things.

Many obese people simply aren't willing to do the work necessary to lose their weight. That's why they turn to a pill to begin with. While a diuretic would only cause the loss of expendable fluids instead of excess fat, initially it would give the appearance of actual weight reduction. That would encourage the user to continue with the program.

In addition, appetite suppression alone may not bring about any miracle changes overnight, but it certainly would be an effective starting point. Obese people tend to vastly overeat in comparison to the amount of calories they expend in their daily activities. Any product that helped them reduce their caloric intake would certainly be more beneficial than doing nothing at all.

In addition, this company claims to offer companion informational products such as CDs to guide the consumer along the path to a more energetic lifestyle and a diet that better matches their actual needs.

Many of the complaints here revolve around the fact that money was deducted from the customer's account without authorization. Naturally, I initially assumed that this company was involved in some sort of a billing scam. However, after speaking with a representative of the company, there could be a legitimate explanation for this.

This company offers an introductory bottle of their product for the cost of shipping alone. Naturally, they can't stay in business by handing away free samples forever. Rather, their intention is to offer you something for free in order to entice you to join their program. The company representative explained that consumers are placed on an auto-ship program designed to provide them with a continuing supply of the product.

It's entirely possible that the complainants have failed to understand that aspect when they chose to make their initial order. How many people do you know always go around looking for something for free? It's entirely possible that the consumers who filed complaints were so focused on the free part that they completely overlooked the fact that they would be expected to begin purchasing addition bottles of the supplement at regular intervals.

The representative did explain that consumers have this auto-ship agreement explained to them several times. He went as far as to state that the company calls the purchaser on the telephone and verifies that they understand the agreement they are entering into.

Because I'm not an actual customer of this company, I have no basis to make an accurate judgment here. Either the company is tricking people into accepting these products or else the customers are simply failing to understand that they will receive one free bottle and then they are expected to begin buying the supplements. Like I said, it's entirely possible the customer is only after the free part. Naturally, it's unrealistic to expect someone to give you a continuing supply of anything for free.

The company did offer that they allow customers to pay using other means. For example, the customer could send payment with a money order. That way, the company would not have any bank or credit numbers to deduct from. That implies an air of legitimacy.

The reality is that without any direct involvement with this company, it's impossible for me to sit here and judge their validity. In this case, I simply choose to side with consumers who came here and filed complaints. With a written complaint on a web site, it's difficult to get all the facts involved. For one thing, the initial complaint involves only the consumer's version, not the company involved. Also, in many cases, there is a dispute as to what actually happened. Who do you believe when one person says one thing and the company says something entirely different?

Remember than in many cases, you will always have a certain percentage of consumers who are dissatisfied with your product or service. The public has such a wide range of expectations and opinions that it becomes physically impossible to please all of the consumers all of the time.

And, remember that a product that claims to promote weight loss is going to be subject to a great deal of uncertainty simply because of the fact that long-term weight loss is so difficult to achieve. After all, look at the number of Americans that remain obese, some morbidly so. Does that mean that all diets and weigh loss products are scams? I'd say it indicates just how difficult it actually is to achieve lasting weight reduction.

Initially, I jumped to the conclusion that this company was cheating people by the thousands. Naturally, my comments were aimed at deterring new customers from ordering from this company. That was the motivation for describing the products as animal pills. I realize that people who are desperate to achieve weight loss will gamble on just about anything. Therefore, I wrote a warning that was sure to disgust them so much that they would be dissuaded from purchasing from this company. What's more disgusting than to say that a cow has spit these pills back up? Or, that the pills were manufactured to rid canines of worms? Both descriptions conjure up images that are so repulsive that they simply preclude any new customers from trying the products. Mission accomplished.

However, that was based on the fact that all these complaints are dead accurate and the assumption that this company was simply out to rip the consumers off.

After speaking with the representative, I'm no longer sure that's the case.

This could very well be a legitimate company with an element of dissatisfied customers who chose to report them here. If that's the case, then it's the company who is suffering here. I'm positive they have lost a significant amount of business from these complaints. At this point, I'm certain they are willing to go to considerable lengths to rectify this situation and avoid similar situations in the future.

For anyone who has ordered and remains dissatisfied, I'd suggest that you call the company and request a refund. I had no problem getting through on their toll free number.

As for the efficacy of their products, I will say this. Over the phone, they offered to send me a sample bottle of the product entirely free, no shipping or handling charges involved. This would have allowed me to either consume the pills or send them out for laboratory analysis. That, in itself, is not consistent with fraud. A scam company would not be willing to have someone put its products to the test and see what they contain. It's entirely possible that the pills contain the stated ingredients and that any consumers who experienced side effects were only seeing the appetite suppressant function of the supplement.

Like I said, my reaction to these complaints is extreme. I assume everything is fraud. Yes, by doing what I do, you will be able to avoid all scams and frauds. But, in exchange you will also be forced to do without many products and services that normal people choose to utilize.

At this point, if you asked me about this company, I would have to say that they may be offering a product that would be beneficial to someone who is starting or continuing a weigh loss program. Anything that would act to suppress appetite would assist the dieter in modifying their total caloric intake.

The best way to evaluate the products would be to purchase a limited supply and see if they are beneficial for you. For someone that is hesitant to provide bank or credit numbers, the company offers other forms of payment that do not require giving out that information.

I realize that in many cases, I'm quick to jump to the conclusion that something is a scam. In this case, I simply did not have the facts necessary to reach a valid conclusion of fraudulent activity. Rather than resorting to the extreme measures that I take, consumers would be better off to take a more conservative approach to purchasing new products and services. Yes, be cautious and exercise reasonable judgment. But, reserve final judgment until you have indisputable facts that something is not what it claims to be. That way, you strike the best compromise between avoiding fraud without depriving yourself of useful products and services.

Paul,
Once again you have not answered any real questions. When I arrived in my office this morning there wasn't a message from you. I was not surprised.
We are a real company, with a real product. Thousands of satisfied customers. If you had been a customer you would see where we were really located. I have given you my # to call.
I apologize though that rather then call and talk to me like every other person on this site, you would rather hide behind false accusations.
Once again, my # is 1-800-757-1279 ext 51. "Paul" call me. Leave a message if I am not available. Leave a real phone # for me to call you back. Everybody else has done this. Why not you?

Sincerely,

I certainly wouldn't order your phony pills. And, anyone who gives you bank or credit information has to be out of their mind.

AUTHOR: Paul - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, August 04, 2005

I never ordered any of the trash this company is hustling. I know that no pill is going to make you thinner anyway. The fact that you claim such a crazy thing is a ripoff all by itself.

If there is any doubt in anyone's mind about this company's legitimacy, all you have to do is use the search function at the top.

Read all the complaints here on this fraud.

They all add up to the exact same thing. This fraud has a web site up that offers free pills. Customers call and are told to pay shipping and handling, less than $5. They provide bank or credit card information for the payment.

Instead, hundreds of dollars are taken out without any authorization. Bottles of pills are sent that were never authorized or agreed upon.

That sure sounds like fraud to me!

This company is hiding behind a bulk web site registration company from Florida. They use a private mailbox as the company address. Even the name David Johns is fake. Clearly, they have many things to hide.

As far as dog pills go, please scan in your invoice that shows what the pills are and where you purchased them. Send them in if you actually think you're legitimate. Chances are, the invoices you have now show a name of a veterinarian supply company at the top.

All you have on this site is one unsatisfied complaint after another. You stole the people's money and you haven't given any of it back.

I hope the feds track you down and put your a*s in jail, where you belong!

That's who I am!

Who is Paul?

AUTHOR: David - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, August 04, 2005

Paul,

This is David Johns. My # is 1-800-757-1279. Ext 51. If you have any reason whatsoever to believe anything that you are writing here I would highly recommend that you give me a call. I have searched our entire database and have found that there is no customer with the name of "Paul" in Anaheim, CA.
For someone claiming that we are "fake" I am trying to understand why you are using a fake name. As well as claiming that there are "victims" of the "dog pills". The website that you posted is part of the marketing done for our company. Please do some more research before accusing someone about something that you know nothing about. And your latest account of our company taking out funds without anybody noticing? Paul, how is this possible? Unless the money is growing on trees (and if it is, please tell me what type of tree to purchase, because I will gladly plant them in my yard) then the only way to receive funds is by selling the product.
For anyone out there who has been frustrated in the past, I would greatly urge you to call me @ 1-800-757-1279 ext 51. My name is David Johns. I do answer the phone. You will get a hold of me. Unlike "Paul" who has never been our customer. And won't even call me. And "Paul" if you do call and I am out of my office, please have the common courtesy to leave a message with a real phone number in order to call you back.
And please let me know who these "victims" are. Because we have never had one reported to us in the history of the company. And if we did, we would gladly help them out.
As far as these "dog pills" are concerned, this is a fanatics attempt to attack a company that he has never been a customer of. It makes me wonder what kind of person would take this much time to attack a company that has never dealt with him before now.

Sincerely,

Respond to this report!

These frauds will never willingly send you any refunds. How can they? They never answer the phone!

AUTHOR: Paul - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, July 28, 2005

Read all the other complaints here, and see for yourself.

You will see that many of the victims became sick from the worm pills!

The reason they use animal products is because they can steal them for next to nothing. They really don't care what they put in the bottles. Any old pills will do.

You see, the whole idea here is just to steal your money. They don't care about you in the least. And, they will gladly send you animal pills if they can save a buck or two. They don't care about your health one little bit.

That's how fraud works. They steal your money. They make you sick.

This fraud is known as the fake billing con. The whole idea is to get your credit or bank account numbers.

The way they do that is by offering you something for free. In this case, it's free fake diet pills. But, they can use lots of different things as the bait. Free weight loss patches. Free fake viagra. Whatever people are looking for, the frauds will offer.

Needless to say, none of the products are real. There is no such thing as a weight loss pill anyway. But, in the case of these frauds, they don't even bother to make anything of value. They simply buy up whatever cheap pills that companies have laying around.

In most cases, you will find that the frauds are giving you animal products, because they don't have to be approved for human consumption. That means the frauds can get them much cheaper. Remember, they don't care about you at all. It makes no difference to them if you get sick.

The whole idea is just to get your account number. Once they have that, they start stealing your money. The frauds use electronic fund transfers from your account. You have no idea the money is even being taken out. Before you know it they will drain your account.

Some free deal, huh?

In many cases, you will have to contact your bank and close the account to get rid of the frauds. Many victims have lost hundreds of dollars before they could stop the thefts.

In this particular case, the frauds have a site called pmburner. The registration info shows that it's listed to a company called bulkregister out of Florida. More scams and cons come out of Florida than all the rest of the states combined!

These frauds hide behind a private mailbox and a series of fake names. Everything they say or do is phony.

Anyway, you can clearly see that this whole thing is one big fraud!

You can avoid getting sucked into this kind of scam by avoiding anything that is free or cheap. The victims are always on the internet searching out some kind of free deal. The frauds know that and use it to steal from people.

When you see free always think fraud!

As far as I know, no one else can submit an Update other than the original author. Note: my comments are NOT under the heading Rebuttal. I AM the original author and my report is NOT an attempt at smoothing anything over. I'm honestly trying to assist those who have fallen in the same trap I did by giving a blow-by-blow account of what happened and how it was dealt with.

Let me reiterate: the check is IN the bank!

This has been an emotional rollercoaster for me as I have never had anything like this happened before. I'm certainly going to be a lot more careful in the future regarding anything that even looks like a Terms and Conditions field. Trust me, if I did work for Ultra Life Fitness I would have gotten on this site by now and made an attempt to answer the why questions for the 18 others who have filed complaints and the others who have been reading this site looking for information on this company.

I got a refund from the bank AND from Ultra Life Fitness. Now all I have to do is pay the bank back. It's over now.

I pray that others will follow though and that they too will get their refunds. Thank you for your time and patience. This will be my last comment to this site. God Speed to ya'll!

Fake rebuttal above. Not only are you getting dog pills, but the frauds have no intention of providing a refund.

The rebuttal above is from someone who works at this crooked company.

It's easy to see why they are coming here and filing a fake rebuttal. This site is costing them a hell of a lot of money. These complaints come up right at the top of google.

I'll bet the frauds have seen their business drop off by 75% or more.

So, they come here and try to smooth things over. They absolutely don't want anyone to know about the dog pills for worms. Anyone who reads that will never order anything.

Don't believe these people. They have no intention of giving your money back. You will get them to give you a refund.

The only way you can get your money back is by having your bank assist you. So, don't even bother calling the frauds. Go right down to your bank and process the paperwork necessary to get your chargeback.

Ultra Life Fitness Inc Does The Right Thing! The Check is IN the bank!

AUTHOR: Tessa - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 27, 2005

July 1: Went to my bank (Wachovia). They were most helpful and happy to help with my concerns. They promptly filed a fraud report, cancelled my debit card number, and reissued a new card.

July 13: I received a phone call from David Johns. He said he was an Ultra Life Fitness representative and had been given the job of trying to resolve my concerns. We had a most informative conversation and at the end he said he would be sending a certified check.

I believe that is where I left off in my report. Now comes the fun stuff!

July 14: I noticed a credit to my account for $90.92. It was a provisional credit from Wachovia. So I could keep this "provisional credit" I had to send a detailed letter to the BankCard people explaining to them what had happened and what measures I had used to try and contact Ultra Life Fitness.

July 20: David Johns from Ultra Life Fitness called again; this time to confirm that the check was "in the mail".

July 25: I received a certified check from Ultra Life Fitness; for the amount of $73.90. Yes, $19.00 is missing from the total but I'm happy with the refund I DID get.

July 26: Deposited the check from Ultra Life Fitness to my bank account. Now I have to wait for Wachovia to debit my account for the amount of the Ultra Life Fitness refund. I reckon the $19.00 is on me. Yeah, confusing isn't it!

So, if you feel you have been misguided, didn't fully understand what you were buying into, skimmed the Terms and Conditions, or didn't read them at all...PLEASE call David Johns at 1800-757-1279 Ext. 51. Try to call in the afternoon hours as their switchboard is extremely busy in the mornings. Keep trying till you get through. Mr. Johns is a pleasant young man and WILL do all he can to rectify the situation.

As for the comment on Dog Pills: Please sir, it has NOT been beneficial or helpful to our cause for you to make such inflammatory comments. This forum is for those who have a legitimate grip and for those who have HELPFUL comments to make. Unless you have some valid clinical proof of your accusations it would be best if you take your comments to another website. Thank you.

You people DO know that you're taking DOG PILLS, right? They were made for WORMS. You might wanna check and see if your nose is still cold.

AUTHOR: Paul - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 13, 2005

The reason they use animal pills is because they are cheaper to buy.

You see, they only want your bank or credit number. The pills are just so you shut up and let them keep your money.

Since they are trying to cheat you anyway, they really don't care at all about your health. That's why they send you animal pills.

Most people can't tell the difference. The capsules that you give boa constrictor snakes are almost the same size and shape as the ones for people.

They could be goat pills. Or, cow pills. Sometimes, the cows will spit the pills back up. I think it's something with having two stomachs. Anyway, the farmer will put the pills back in the bottle and send them back.

From there, they get sold off as used or seconds. They sell really cheap. So, these fraud companies can buy them by the thousands.

When the cows and the horses and dogs won't eat the pills, then you end up getting them.

My advice is to STOP eating anything you get from the internet.

I don't want to rain on your parade, Tessa, but I wouldn't get excited till you've gotten the check, ****AND**** the check has cleared your account. Almost $100 is a lot of money, and I sure hope you get it back, I just don't want you to be disappointed if the gentleman was making promises the company won't let him keep.

Ultra Life Fitness Inc Does The Right Thing!

AUTHOR: Tessa - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 13, 2005

I just posted the previous update and wouldn't you know it, the phone rang! It was a very nice young man by the name of David Johns. He was from Ultra Life Fitness. He said my message had been seen on this site and he was contacting me to see if we could rectify the situation. I half jokingly said, "A refund would be nice". He said, "I can do that". I just about fell off my chair! He went on to explain that he is new to the company and has been given the job of trying to clear up some of this mess. Please pray for this young man. I have a feeling he's going to have a lot of phone calls and explanations to make. I, for one, am NOW a satisfied customer. Thank you Ultra Fitness for doing the right thing.

Maybe sharing our grievances on the Net can be a positive thing after all!

No word from Ultra Life Fitness/ Ultra PM. A note about rebuttals and cocoroaches.

AUTHOR: Tessa - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 13, 2005

To "William - South Jordan, Utah" This is what Rip-Off Report.com has to say about REBUTTALS.

--BONA FIDE REBUTTAL: Rebuttal, means just that. We want a REBUTTAL stating why the victim submitting the report is wrong, or your apology stating why they are right and/ or how you will correct this so it will not happen in the future to others. In other words .. If you want to submit a REBUTTAL, make it a real REBUTTAL, either agreeing or disagreeing with the posted Rip-off Report, and then, if applicable, you must explain why there are so many Rip-off Reports where consumers claim they are being victimized by you or your company.--

As to the person doing the rebutting on my complaint: I don't believe "William - South Jordan, Utah" really is who he says he is...even IF he works for ULTRA LIFE! If he really was an employee, I would imagine, he would believe in their product enough to give us some sort of explanation as to the "why" of the unwanted debiting of accounts --AFTER "future orders" had been cancelled! THAT is the issue. We already know about the FREE PILLS!

If someone who is REALLY from ULTRA LIFE wants to make a rebuttal we'd love to hear from you! You don't have to give your real name. We'd just like some answers.

ULTRA LIFE has my address (no joke!) and my phone number. If they really were concerned that my report would damage sales I think I would have, at the very least, gotten a phone call. A refund would have been even better. But, we all know THAT is never going to happen!

I think it's a good rule of thumb that if there is a product out there that says "free trial" make a phone call, get an address, send them the shipping and handling charges IN CASH. That way, if the item is a fraud, you will only be out a small amount of money. If they tell you we don't accept cash then ask them were you can see this item in a store. If the product is viable it'll be seen in retail stores soon enough. I agree with "Paul - Anaheim, California". DON'T FEED THE COCOROACHES!

Not sure if posting a grievance actually does anything but it's a good place to vent. Thanks for listening!

This fraud continues because people always send money or give out credit information

AUTHOR: Paul - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, July 11, 2005

People always ask How can this be legal? Why doesn't somebody put a stop to it?

Well, it's not legal. And, if you report it to enough law enforcement authorities, they will put a stop to it.

Actually, all the FTC ever does is place a cease and desist order. That means the crooks have to stop stealing any more money. But, they get to keep all the money they have already stolen.

Sometimes, people actually do go to jail, but that's rare. Chances are nothing much is ever done.

That's why the same frauds keep coming back time and time again. Dreaming up new ways to cheat you outta your money.

There is only one thing you can do. Stop handing them your money. Stop handing over your credit card number or bank account.

You see, when everybody ignores these frauds, they never make a cent. Then, they stop.

But, as long as people keep sending free money, the frauds keep right on coming.

What happens when you feed the cockroaches? You just make more cockroaches.

If you don't like fraud, don't pay for it. Then, they'll go away.

company rebuttles How can this continue to happen?

AUTHOR: Corey - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, July 11, 2005

after my friend was ripped off by this company, I found this web page and after reading all the listed complaints, I noticed that the few that the company offered a rebuttle on were always meaningless comments. The rebuttles from this company don't even address the real issue of why people are complaining-which is that they continue to be charged for services they have cancelled and/or products they did not want in the first place. How can it be legal for a company to sign people up for things they are unaware of and then STILL CHARGE THEM WHEN THEY STATE TO THE REP. THAT THEY DO NOT WANT THE PRODUCT OR SERVICE? How can this continue to happen?
