UMG*MERCHANTTEC HSOLUT Fraudulent activity, unauthorized bank drafts Schaumburg Illinois

According to the Better Business Bureau, this "company" is also known as United Marketing Group, LLC, with telephone 847-240-2005. In August 2008, only months after my husband passed away, this company began unauthorized bank drafts to my small business account. I, too, thought it was my credit card processing company (my bank had no contact information for this "unknown company")...and no website exists for this company!

I continued to exert much effort researching; first to get a phone number. When I called, I was told that they "are a Internet technical support company." But they would NOT give me a physical mailing or email address, nor would they give me a name of a supervisor or "complaint dept."

After a lengthy discussion, wherein I insisted I would not have "agreed" to their services (my office is MAC based and does not even have Internet service), they finally agreed to refund only a portion of their monthly $49.95 charges. Since then, I've reported this "company" to the Better Business Bureau and I currently have an open case. UMG's unauthorized charges to my bank account AND the numerous related bank overdraft fees total to near $1,200! This scam "company" must be stopped!!
