UnbeatableSale.com I received a shipement of a double boiler/steam saucepan and upon opening found it to be damaged. I contacted customer service the day it arrived and asked how to return it for a refund because there is no information in their packaging about how to return damaged goods. They asked for a photo. I sent a photo. They thanked me for the photo and said they would check into it, but provided no information on how to return it or agree to give me a refund. Nationwide

I ordered a double boiler/steamer saucepan. It arrived and I opened the box to find a broken piece from the handle of the pot lying inside the pot. I immediately contacted customer service by email to tell them of the damage, ask how to return it, and request a refund because the item does not appear to be well made, given the broken handle.

A day later, I was asked to provide a photo. I provided a photo of the broken item still in its packing in the box.

The customer service rep then said they would look into it, but did not provide me information on how to return it or even answer my request that that I receive a refund and return shipping costs.

You have missed...

You have missed a VERY important player in YOUR situation. THE SHIPPER!!!! The package was NOT immediatly teleported from the shipping center to YOUR front door. A third party had MULTIPLE hands on it. That would be the shipping company. If you recieved a package and the contents were damaged, then the responsable party is THE SHIPPING COMPANY!!. The seller has ZERO responsability once it leaves their hands. To ask THEm to eat the cost of both shipping it back AND giving you a new one when SOMEONE else did the damage is very either lazy on your part or general ignorance on the entire process.

You need to take this up with the company that your package was shipped through. Going to the retailer is silly. And if you were to DARE think that ANY of the shipping companies CARE about your package, try shipping an egg to someone a few states away. Pack it according to them instructions on any shippers website. Then when it arrives at the destination and its nothing but egg goo and stinky shells you will have an idea of how they treat EVERY package. They are not gentle if it doesnt say FRAGILE. They toss boxes, they walk on boxes. I know this for a fact because I have MANY times recieved a crushed package and a giant foot print is on the box.
