I'm writing this to inform Ford employess that have to deal with Unicare disability. When you go see your doctor for care, you have to keep calling it seems almost 4 to 5 times a day after to your case worker to make sure that there is no disruption in your checks. I had an appointment sceduled for 8/22/06 for test results from 8/15/06. Well, first the doctor's office called and resceduled the appointment to the 29th of August. After my test on the 15th of August, I was told that I would have to have the test repeated, because they didn't get the information they needed. Once I had everything resceduled; which was by the 17th of August, which should have been more then enough time for the case worker to call or contact me to help her get the doctor's office to call her; test on the 30th of August and to see the doctor on September 5th, I called and left message after message for her to contact my doctor so that there would be no disruption in my checks. Well on the 22nd of August no check in the mail that I was banking on. Now my family and I are in the hole close to $500 in our checking account because of their error. Now because of them my family has to stay home this Labor Day weekend instead of going to our trailer out at the lake.

I have had the same experience and you are right you have to call 3 to 4 times a day to followup with your case worker. I also recommend letters by fax and certified mail. This will give you backup documentation. CC your commitee man and someone high ranking at Unicare (VP of customer service) on it as well. I will warn you it took me months to resolve my claim. Hope this helps.
