I was shopping online for insurance and I received a call from agent who shared this great group insurance PPO plan. Low monthly rates, no deductible plan that was 70/30 coverage. It was packaged with dental, vision and prescription coverage and a 5,000 life policy. The plans were are separately priced and the agent would not send over a quote prior to receiving payment. Big Red flag! He was very smoothe in lumping the various services together as if I did not have a choice. I asked questions and he had answers but started to take on an attitude that this was my best option and that open enrollment is over and the kind of attitude like this was my only hope. I was then transferred to a second person "customer service" who would record and verify my info and set- up the processing of my credit card . I purposely told them that I needed a few hours before the payment could be processed. They agreed and it was set to run the next morning because they were 3 hours ahead of California time and the office would be closing . I was told that all the info about the plan and temp ID card would come in an email that next day and I would be covered right away. Also when I asked about the health insurance company " The Original sales agent " rattled off Elite Health .and gave me the website. While we were on the phone, he had a sense of urgency to finalize the sale and only appeared to truly want me to make a well informed decision. I researched all that evening about the I go I was given and it did not add up. I had no peace . So I made certain that no money was attached to that card until I was satisfied. I called their customer service number and asked for the lady who was processing my card. I was told she was on another call and a young man asked to help me. I gave him my name and asked to verify the actual insurance carriers I was being insured by and he " by the way I thought sounded like my original sales Rep but he denied it when I asked him. He said I was assigned to Unified Plus for Medical and NCE Aetna for Dental and prescriptions and that my payment was being processed right then and I should have my confirming email and temp card shortly. I needed that time since now I had a carrier name to check out this insurance . I asked to have Lady processing my payment call me back when she was available, which she did while I was reading this rip-off report. How thankful I was to see find the information confirming my suspicion. This product was sold as a insurance plan the was pooled with a group of individuals at a discounted rate. The Other services are simply discount cards. I hope this helps the next person avoid a bad experience.
