Six days before my car note was due I called UACC. I spoke to someone who said okay and informed me that there was no grace period. I said I realize that I'm just having a rough time right now, I'm not saying I cannot pay my car note, I'm saying it will be (6) days late. We talked about the late fee and she also explained that everyday that the car note was not being paid I was accuring interest, I said I to her but If I'm one day late or six days late the late fee will be the same, she said yes. I thought all was well.

Then I received a call in the same day from Liz who proceeded to demand that I call someone to borrow money to get the payment in the office that day and call her back with (3) names and phone numbers of the people I had called so they could call the people back to see if I had called to try to borrow money. I was out done and told her I would do no such thing.

That same day I received a call from Jo(female) I guess Liz's superior, stating that I had till the following day @ 4pm to get the names and numbers in. I told her that I was so stressed out, I'm doing all I can to get the payment in if I could pay it before the 3rd I would, but I don't need you calling my friends and family to see if I tried to borrow money. I was told that I had till a certain hour to get the names and numbers in and if not I was in breach of the contract and I could loose my car. I said come and get the car because this is too much stress.

The following day I received a call from her superior Frank, who threatened me and said I had till 4pm to get the names and numbers in. He said there is no grace period, that one day late is just like being 30 days late. He continued with the threats, I was so upset I cried, I said at least I called you to say that I would be late, you don't have to try to find me for a payment. I'm letting you know when it will be paid. He talked to me like I was nothing, so I told him like I told Jo, they can come and get the car.

I called my son-n-law. He told me to give them his number and I did along with two other friends. Frank said once you give us the names and numbers if you don't receive a call back from us then you will know that we agree to wait till the 3rd for the payment. So for a couple of days I'm looking out the window, hoping and praying that they don't come and get my car. I thank God for my transportation, but I wish someone could look into the way these people are operating.
