UNITED CASH LOANS STAY AWAY FROM UNITED CASH LOANS RIPOFF ONLINE INTERNET
*Consumer Suggestion: Proper category should be used when posting a rip off report
*Consumer Comment: Unfortunately, most people don't seem to understand how these loans work.
This company is building quite a reputation, from the complains I have read on the internet. I also took out a $200.00 payday loan in January 2007, they take $60.00 every two weeks out of my checking. The loan would have been paid off by 2/21/07. I have filed a complaint with my bank and tried to contact customer service at United Cash Loan, they will not call me back. BEWARE ALL INTERNET CUSTOMERS, THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS!

I see that this rip off is posted under the "Veteran's Administration" category.
How exactly was the VA involved in this rip off?

The 60 dollars that was debited from you account every two weeks was the fee only. You still owed the original 200 dollars.
That's how most of these payday loans work. Every pay period (usually two weeks) the loan is auto renewed. The auto renew will continue for up to 5 pay periods, depending on the payday loan company. After that they will usually take the fee plus 50 dollars to apply towards the original loan amount (reducing it by 50 dollars) and extending it again for a new fee (lower fee due to the lower loan amount) and on and on.
This is from their "Questions" page
"When do I repay?
Your repayment is the best part. The minimum required payment will be deducted from your bank account. You get cash when you need it most and repay when you have it!
Still a little short on payday? No problem! Online customers are automatically renewed every pay period. Just let us know when you are ready to pay in full, and we will deduct your loan plus fees from your bank account. "
You usually have to contact them at least three business days before the scheduled debit to tell them if you are paying more than just the fees. That is usually done through the web site or by faxing a form.
Because it is auto renewing, the fees always end up being much more than the original loan. It is always best to pay these type of loans off as soon as possible.
Good luck.
