BIG RIP OFF Company! I made an "Application" to see if I was eligible and the Al Vidal telephone sales rep. knew I did not have a phone line for the new business. I stated I was just checking my eligiblility and he said "OK'.... however, it ended up after he got all my information, the charges started on my bank acount and couldn't be stopped because the company ID to EFT the funds changed with different transactions.

United Payment Services never sent a machine or terminal to process the cards and never called to set up training or how to process cards. Instead just charged my bank account approximately $400 before I figured out what was happening when I received my bank statement, I had to close the account so hopefully this will end their fraudulent transactions to rip me off!

i tried to resolve the conflict with United Payment Services and Al Vidal (who said he couldn't help me) and talk with a supervisor and "customer service" said they didn't have supervisor or "boss" to talk with and I was out of luck. No machine, no processing, but they took $400 knowing I didn't have a machine or anyway to process credit cards.

Taking Money without rendering service

AUTHOR: etailer - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, August 20, 2009

United Payment Services did the same thing to me. I have contacted our attorney. If our matter is not resolved we will be taking further action via Class Action Lawsuit. I'm certain you and I are not the only company where this has happened. Services must be rendered in order for them to take your money. Stay tuned.

#5 Consumer Suggestion

really Scott? Let's tell the truth!

Why don't you tell the people on here how you failed to contact me, yet helped yourself to $500 in my bank account after I told your company to close my account? I have sent your company emails and called on on the phone after I allege that you stole the $500 from my account without my permission, and you do not respond to me!

So you are saying that you contacted this customer? How can I believe that when I've been in this situation and I have yet to receive a formal apology from your company for the unauthorized $500 you took from my account? Scott, United Payment Services were presented with a letter (I have tracking) forbidding your company from removing any more funds from my account and you all went ahead and did it anyway, charging $500 for an alleged crack on the back of a phone when the manufacturer, WAY Systems, tells me that the repair costs $160! What kind of customer service is this, Scott?

I am seriously hoping that your company will be investigated by the Secret Service for what I allege to be very unethical billing practices! You do not take $500 out of a person's account after she sends you a letter forbidding you access to her account!

Here's my statement folks. United Payment Services has provided very poor customer service to me and their act of removing $500 from my account without my knowledge speaks volumes for their ethics!

These statements are not true. I am the supervisor here and did contact this merchant. This merchant signed an agreement and is in a contract per that agreement. She did not pay the shipping and handling and therefore the terminal was not shipped. We did everything right by this merchant and she was not forced or misled to sign this application in multiple places.
