I personnaly have not been ripped off by this person and i use the term person loosely.

My good friend dated him and let me tell you he has isolated her from her family he is very controlling and comes across as a sweet talker he has a very short temper and it will go off in a minutes notice he should not by any means be around kids! he was physical and verbal abusive to her. if you are doing any business with this man or are in a relationship with him grab your crap and run don't walk because he will take you down. He pries on weak women who are either single mothers or just getting out of bad relationships. I personaly belive that he can't use his name for business use or anything else and is preying on these defensless women to do his dirty work for him which from what leah is saying sound true. we need to take him down so he can no longer hurt any more people out there in the world our economy is bad enough with out his help.

I wright this as a helpful freind who wants to warn others out there about this jarrett pratt,price or whatever he is calling himself these days.

I have known for some time about the HIV! I am trying to fix the problem with him doing this to others. I knew that I wasn't the first to have this problem with him, and I knew that I wouldn't be the last. It seems as though his world is beginning to cave in, slowly but surely. I know that jp is living in riverton utah he also has business in idaho, washington and montana that I am aware of he is running his businesses out of his girlfriends name of Kelly Leyba, He also has HIV I found this out through a state health registery I also herd that he and his girlfriend split up so all you single ladies out there beware he is very controlling and is a smoth talker so any one who has ever slept with this man run dont walk and get tested because I am sure he has had this for quiet some time. I would also love to see him do some prison time for what he has done to me and so many others out there so all you women out there who have been screwed lets band together and take this a-hole down .

Hi Anon, He is still using Happy Days, but when I went to work for him last July, The ad said Happy Days, but the email that I was sending my invoices to was still National Portraits. I was not given his name when I started working, so I looked at a shipping label on a package that was sent from a clothing wholesaler, and found his name. After sending him the first invoice with that name, He sent me an email asking me to send it to Jared Price, I have print-outs of all my invoices, and all of them but 1 are sent to Jared Price. Guess what name was used on that 1? He is now in Riverton Utah, and I have googled his address, and got a sattelite map of his house and street. Really nice house by the way. I have started my own business again, and he has been calling my clients, telling them that I stole from him. JP if you are reading this...I have a 1 year statute of limitations in which to file suit for the cancelling of my contract...watch out sneaky snake! Be very very careful!
Anyway, hope this helps, I have even thought of filing a class action suit.

JP Howard now calling himself Jared Price. This guys several alias's should be proof enough that he's a person to be avoided. Sheila's post above is par for the course with this guy. Currently he's using Happy Days Antique Photography as his company name though he seems to change this every few months.

I experienced much of the same thing when I worked with JP weeks of stress over not getting paid, screwy deals, lies, manipulation, threats. Glad to see you posted here hopefully as more people do word will get out about what creep this guy is and he'll have a harder time finding people to rip off. Did you say he was calling himself "Jared Price" now? If so I'll update this original posting to include that name, Also do you know what company name he was using or where else he is currently operating/living? I'd like to keep the info on this post as up to date as possible. Sorry you had to go through this and good job sticking it to this jerk.

Jp, Jarrett Pratt, JP Howard, or Jared Price finally paid me almost everything that he owed me. I have freed the "hostages" after being paid. JP wanted to record me acknowledging that he "honestly skipped over one of my invoices, that we ended on good terms, and that I was sorry that things didn't work out"! I said none of those things, because they were all lies. He did not accidentally skip over my invoice, because it shows on fresh-books that they were all "viewed" we absolutely did not end on good terms, I had to hold his stuff ransom until I got paid, how is that good? I am also not sorry, I have nothing to be sorry for. I did all of the work, I worked sick, I let my house fall to crap because of all of the hours I was putting in giving him quality pictures, sorry? no way. I have asked him repeatedly to stop contacting me via phone, text and email, which he has ignored, so I have had to, through my phone company, block all of his calls and texts, and have blocked all of his emails. I'm done with this person, and I use this term person, of describing him very loosely. He needs to be done as well. I have a business to build! Here are just a couple of the emails that he sent me.

I am a good person who never has hurt anyone. The person who posted that stuff was tryiing to hurt me just like you are doing. TELL me what you want here so we can both move on with our lives. Do you want to go into business in OR.

Do you want the rig in exchange for you checks? What do you want. I can not have anymore stress on me. I am dying here. I am not going to fight here I just want it to be over. Let's be adults and get this s**t over with. I also will not be screwed over here. We have customers orders to get out Sheila, now lets grow up here and do the RIGHT THING.

I ask you as a person not to try to do damage to me, my company and my reputation. If you want to do your own thing then do it the correct way. The right way Sheila. Don't try to steal and take my stuff and accounts, It's not fair to me my, kids or anyone who works for me.

Do it on your own. Fine, I don't care about your contract Sheila, but I also will fight in what I believe in and will not try to hurt you going into business, But as adults we have to work this out now before it causes a big mess.

The Guy is a crook, and he thinks that he is smart. the thing that I don't understand is, if you were a photographer for jp, why did you not hold "hostages" ie; props, money, bookings? These are all things that used to "bargain" with.

He went to a lawyer today to try to "reason me out of what he owed me" This did not work for him, I was fired by him yesterday, and he made the HUGE mistake of doing this after a pass that produced $1000.00 mostly in cash...duh! and I have all of his props that he sent for shoots. He tried to legal term me out filing a lien against his property cash, money orders, checks, hold checks, and all of the props that he sent me to use for portraits. He told me that he would hold me "RELIABLE" for any accounts that I called. I went to a shoot today, I gave them a choice, and since I was told to "confirm all shoots a week or so in advance" I called and confirmed that I would be there this morning, and of course when you confirm an appt, you always introduce yourself, strike up a conversation, ask if they have any questions, and start building a face to face relationship. They essentially "knew me" already. All I had to do was ask them if they still wanted me to do their pictures, or wait for someone that they have never spoken with, much less seen, try to reschedule. I offered them a better deal, and they were more than pleased to let me set up. I believe their response was "Let me show you where you will set up" All I want is my $1856.19 and return all of his stuff and be done with him. I
could have kept the cash, but it's not cash that I earned, it's cash from customers who trust me! That's why I will never ever touch that money for myself, I want my cash. Integrity is how you build long lasting, loyal business relationships. This is exactly how I have always run my business. I don't offer to sell something to someone that they were already offered for free. 2 pose package my eye!

This whole situation was very stressful for me and my family! JP kept me up all night long with text messages, phone calls and Emails. I got 1 1/2 hours of sleep and did a 10 hour shoot, then when I got home, I had to deal with his lawyer, whom I believe, under different circumstances, is a very nice guy. I'm pooped. I'm glad it's over, this was the longest 48 hours of my life thusfar!

You say warn daycare directors and urge them to stay away from him because they will not receive their pictures. With all of the companies that you list here for JP, dont you think that there would be reports from customers and daycare directors on here? If this guy actually went into daycares and collected money for pictures that he never delivered, police would be involved and action would have been taken already. This does not make sense to me.

You say that you worked for JP over time and he left owing you thousands of dollars. Why would you stick around to let it accumulate that high? Seriously, any normal person would leave a company when they are not paid for services provided, not stick around and let it build up. Do you have any invoices or proof to back your claim up?

In your report you say that he is in 5 different states. Do you honestly know where he is? If i left town owing somebody thousands of dollars, not that I would, but i would not tell them where i was or what companies that I was running. That just does not make sense.

As far as all of this goes, I really do not want to get in the middle of this, however I have seen the damages that filing a false report can do. I have know JP for many years, and although I have not seen him in quite some time, I can speak for his practices many years ago. This guy took people and gave them opportunities. I have seen JP pick up many people and give them a fresh start. Your report does not sound like the JP that I know.

In closing, I would like to say this... From your last statement on the report, you urge anyone dating him to get away quickly. In all honesty, this report sound more like a woman's scorn than a ripoff report. It sems to me that you were involved with JP and ended up working for him. Things went south with you guys and now out of hurt, you are doing what you can to damage his reputation. Petty, in my opinion.

Just know this, if you have proof to back up your statements, by all means, show the world, but if this is nothing more than an attempt to damage his reputation, grow up and move on. Allow him to move on with his life.

I am sorry to hear this. This report is actually filed from my Competition. It's so sad to see that a company that runs an honest business has to be destroyed online. This person and the others actually run their own companies and have filed these reports to destroy others. It's really become some sort of childish game.
