United Processing Trying to scam me out of money by saying they are from the check fraud and theft department Jacksonville Florida

My sister, who works with me, gave me a message from my mom saying I needed to call Brian Thomas at 1-866-723-3175 about an account I owed. He was from the Check Fraud and Theft Division. If I didn't call him by today, 8/19/2008, he was going to turn the account over to the local Sherriff's office. So, of course, I called back.
When I called, he automatically transferred me to a woman who said that if I did not pay them $237 by 6:00 p.m. that the Sherriff would be out to my workplace tomorrow. I got really upset and started having a panic attack. I went online and found out that other people had been scammed from the same phone number.
My husband's uncle was going to let me borrow the money. He came to my house and called the number. He told them he wanted to see a bill detailing this account. They never would fax anything to us. So, he called them back about 20 times. They kept hanging up on him. Then, my sister-in-law tried calling and the guy was saying nasty things to her. You could tell that they were a scam because of the unprofessional manner they were using.
BEWARE OF THESE THREE NUMBERS: 1-866-723-3175, 904-723-3180 and 904-727-7116. If you receive a call from Jacksonville, Florida tell them you know what they are up to and report them. I am going to the Better Business Bureau on them also.
