This company is a huge rip off and scam. They came to move me and showed up 6 hours late and didnt even give me a discount. Then i had to pay 60% of the balance at pickup and the remaining balance at dropoff. So i went ahead and payed my 60% and then got a phone call from the company the next day stating that my blance went from $1275 to $3200 i was in shock. And askes why they then were very rude and said that i had to pay the remaning balance befor dropoff or they were not going to deliver my belongings and would keep my things in storage and charge me for storage till i could pay.

Then i explained that i sighed a contract with the movers when they got there for $1275 and they said they had my signiture on the contract and that i agreed to the balance of $3200 which was untrue and turnes out they changed the $ amount after i sighned they are not only scamers but are breaking the law.

I thought they were a safe moving company because when i checked them online i didnt find any reported issues.Come to find out thats only because they are always changing there company name because of all there issues and problems with customers. Please dont make the same mistake i did i am still trying to figure this all out and still dont have my belonging. And everytime i call there offices some one new picks up or they ignore my calls they even make fake names up when they speak to people. This company is a huge scam located in jersey city,nj.To all of you out there stay away from united relocation vanlies and protect yourself from this kind of fraud and unsafe service!!!!

WE ARE A LEGITAMATE COMPANY

AUTHOR: CATA.725 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, March 25, 2010

We are a very busy company in Jersey City, we arrived an hour late and spoke to the client. We called her two hours before we were scheduled to be there and explained we were stuck in traffic coming off the GW Bridge. We do require a $ 100 deposit and 60% at time of pick up , at arrival to this home the foreman went in to look at the items and the customer had double the amount of items she stated she was taking. We proceeded to add on the extra charges to her quote and she was ok with. It is impossible that she payed $1275 when the 60% that was due was not longer that price it went up to $1920 which she payed cash. The next day the truck was ready to head out and we recieved a call saying that she would be needing 15 days of storage because her new apartment was not availiable yet. We have never changed our name and have been in business for 3 years. All of our employees are REAL and can prove them thru our payroll. We are sorry you felt this way but half of the issues that occured had nothing to do with our service. This customer was warned numerous times to please be veru accurate.

Our Warmest Regards,

UNITED RELOCATION VANLINES
