My husband and I were taking a cruise for our anniversary, and I wanted a bottle of tanning lotion for my home tanning bed, to tan before we left for our trip. I googled the type of lotion I wanted and came across a website, www.darkdesirelotion.com, that had it for a pretty reasonable price. I ordered a bottle of Worship Tanning Lotion from Dark Desire Lotion, LLC on January 31, 2009. On February 6, 2009, they shipped the lotion via USPS. It is now March 3, 2009, my anniversary has come and gone, and still I have not received the lotion!!!

I have tried tracking the package through the tracking number I received on the confirmation e-mail I got from Dark Desire. Apparently the item reached Atlanta, GA and left there on Feb 8, 2009. I live approximately an hour from Atlanta, and still no package!!!

After some time went by, I called the USPS. I was told the same thing that I got online, that it had left the Atlanta facility, and that they would document my call and have someone call me back regarding the matter. I waited, and no one called. I called back, they told me the SAME THING over again, that they would document my call and someone would call me back. Still no one called me back.

I called the USPS for a third time, and this time I was very annoyed that no one could seem to tell me anything other than my call was documented. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and she said that the only thing I could do was call my area post office, which I did to no avail. They started asking me all these questions about what the item was shipped in, like a box or whatever, and where it was shipped from and if it had insurance on it. I AM THE CONSUMER, not the provider of the services, so I am not sure why they expected me to know all this, but I did the best I could to answer their questions. I asked for a number of a superior I could talk to so that I could get some answers and not have to wait on someone else to call me back. Eventually, I got a number that you cannot get anyone on, no matter how long you stay on hold.

USPS recommended that I call the lotion company. I am not sure why it would be their fault since they did their part in shipping it, and the USPS did their part in losing it. After several calls to the company, and e-mails, I figured out that they were just as crooked. I never got a person when I called, just an answering machine, no matter what time I called. I left several messages, no one will call me back, and no one will e-mail me back either.

I have a full time job and do not have the time to sit around playing phone tag with the USPS and the lotion company. I have pretty much come to realize that I have been ripped off the $30.00 I spent on the tanning lotion, but am still very angry about it, and want other people to be aware of what happens. Customer service for the USPS is a JOKE!!!! NO ONE was willing to help me. And the same goes for Dark Desire Lotion, LLC, as I would have appreciated someone at least calling me back to see what they could do to help me fix the problem. Obviously they do not like repeat business or referrals. Sure won't be getting any from me, and I hope to spread the word enough that no one will order from them!!!! I plan on trying to call a few more times before I just give up. This is very frustrating and I wish it on no one!!! Please be aware of who you give your money to. You would think that with the economy being in such a state as it is, that people would value the people that keep their companies going.

USPS sent my package to the wrong person when I ordered from DarkDesireLotion

AUTHOR: Phil - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, August 06, 2010

I ordered some bronzing powder and a teeth whitening kit from Dark Desire Lotion and had a similar problem with USPS, but they actually ended up delivering it to another town! Thankfully the person who they delivered my $40.00 worth of products to was honest. She called and met me at Target with my products. I love DarkDesire and since then havn't had any problems with the shipping, although I wish they offered UPS instead of shipping Priority all the time.

More USPS than the Tanning Lotion Company

AUTHOR: Heather8428 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 04, 2009

I FINALLY got an e-mail from the Tanning Lotion Company that they will be glad to re-send another bottle of the lotion, but are currently out of stock so they have to order it. So the moral of the story is to get insurance on all packages sent through USPS. That is the only thing that I think would have mattered to them to help me with the issue. Hopefully I will get the lotion I ordered sooner or later!
