United States Postal Service, Postal Service can't help you if they lose your mail, even when tracked! Hazelwood Missouri

I sent 4 packages from my local post office on 5/22/07 and as of today 7/3/07 they still show enroute from hazelwood, mo with tracking numbers on them.

They advised they have no way to find my packages, except to email the mail recovery dept and if they don't here from them - I don't hear from them. Also, if they ever find them - I will be notified - otherwise I will be never notified. I spoke to 6 different offices and no one is willing to help me locate these or provide a refund of my mailing costs. They have misplaced 4 packages and 2 other packages which were delivered-had missing items from them.

So, are we trusting the postal service with our mail. Are they hiring corrupt people? What is happening when four of my packages disappear? Do they have a customer service dept to help you? They do not back us up, but they do expect you to pay there high postal fees. If they lose, you are just out of luck!
