United Tax preys on people who have IRS issues and do not understand what to do.  They sold me on the fact that they would "charge as we go" for services rendered and would be there step by step. They sold me that they were experts and had a solution when in reality they did not.   They responded at all times during the sales phase so I believed that the service would continue.   The moment I gave them my payment things changed.  Then all tasks were mine.   They charged me $700 for an IRS tax transcript that is free.  When I requested a copy to accomplish a task they gave me they ignored me and never responded.  When I couldn't complete the task they gave me they blamed it all on me.  I called and emailed and was ignored.  I went to a tax attorney who charged me a fraction of what they did and I got much more service.  When I requested a refund for services not performed they refused and said I did not perform when again I needed the tax transcript they charged me for and would not give me. I was specifically disappointed in Jose Quinones who was rude after ignoring my repeated attempts for guidance and transcripts.

Thank you for the response.  It is of course your side, is edited and is missing many emails, phone calls and request for return calls.  The transcripts that were free but United Tax charged me $699 for were what I found that I needed to have my preparer complete what they were asking for.  I have never received even though I paid for them and neede them.  Requests for them were ignored and of course not posted here.

Thank you also for posting personal correspondence that is privileged and confidential.  It shows the level of professionalism you get if you were to choose United Tax Group.  After they steal your money they will post all your dirty laundry that you trusted them with on the world wide web for all to see.

Consumers beware.

Rebuttal to Andrew Report on United Tax Group

AUTHOR: JQuinones/UTG - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, February 06, 2013

In the case of Mr. Andrew Andreasen, from California:

He became our client on August 2012. At that point he retained our services for representation in front of the taxing authorities to find all details and requests from the Revenue Officer at the Internal Revenue Services. United Tax Group proceeded to perform a detail investigation not only
to obtain transcripts available to all authorized persons on a tax payers account, but to tax payers themselves.

 At that point we gave Mr. Andreasen a full list of missing returns for himself and his business, and other items requested from the IRS, to what he said he had a personal accountant that would prepare such returns. Months of pursuing the returns transpired with many calls and emails, even on personal time, as it was near impossible to contact him during the regular working week, with no returns produced. On October 9, 2012 Mr. Andreasen sent us an email stating that he met with his personal accountant and was getting all returns ready with a goal to have them all ready by October 15, 2012.

The Revenue Officer proceeded to contact Mr. Andreasen and us and provided a list of requirements to be sent by November 1, 2012. After this we called and emailed Mr. Andreasen on Monday, October 22, 2012, Saturday, October 27, 2012 And left messages to follow up on all the information and he called back that day and said had accountant working on everything, I advised even if we get one return it will show good faith and movement, he said will try to get them done.  Spoke to him again on November 1, 2012 and he said all returns were almost done and will send that
and financial documents soon. Nothing was received and once again on November 15, 2012 we emailed client with urgency as the Revenue Officer will not keep waiting and he responded on November 19, 2012 saying that everything was almost ready, again, but nothing was sent to our office.

 On December 14, 2012 he emails me and says:

 Jose,

I have completed all but 2011 tax returns.  I will go get them and send them to you Monday.

I just received a notice from the State of California. Intent to Levy.  Please advise.

Andrew

 I am picking up all but personal 2011 tonight.

Need the returns to submit to IRS and State to stop any enforcement. Please expedite sending all returns to us as soon as possible.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Then a day after he says, I need my transcripts, meaning he has no returns or information
ready 3 months after saying his accountant had all cover and under control. We offered to file his returns, but the lack of up front information and the client wishes to have his accountant do them created this situation for him. The contract he signed when he retained services and now says dont remember or conveniently cannot find clearly states that the client should provide all documents needed for proper representation within deadlines or the contract could be cancel for breach on the part of the client.

On January 12,
2013 I emailed him:

 Andrew,

On multiple occasions you have expressed to be ready with some returns and information, and as of today 1/12/13 we have not receive any of the above. It is imperative that you prioritize the completion and submit the returns in order to move forward with the case. Please understand that we want to be able to help you obtain the best possible outcome but cannot progress without your
help.

Then he replies that he didnt want our services and wants a refund for the retainer fees paid. To what I replied explaining we have been and still are more than willing to do our job but is him who has to provide the tools to assist him, therefore no refund is to be granted at this point.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Andrew is a delinquent tax payer that thinks he can hire a company to represent him and will have that company do miracles outside of the parameters of the Law to be able to full fill commitments to the taxing authorities utilizing our name as a nothing but a middle man, when he doesnt have any intentions or want to do the right thing to expedite the process of getting compliant with all tax duties and to resolve the tax liability.

Mr. Andrew Andreasen should have read his contract which we could provide a copy at any time and should re think his priorities as a tax payer, by stopping to fumble the ball and blame others for
his lack of action and forthcoming attitude towards a problem that is self inflicted by offering and not providing.

Sincerely,

United Tax Group
