United Trust And Finance Inc Received a letter saying that I won 250,000 !! WHOO h*o!! Ontario Canada

I received a letter saying that I won 250,000 in a "Super Seven Contest" held on the 3rd of March 2009. Well, I never entered such a contest, so knew right away it was fraud.

What is interesting is, out of curiosity, I googled the name of the bank it is drawn on; the bank did indeed exist. Also googled the company name that "issued" the check, they too existed as well. The company had their account information stolen. So both places are victims of fraud as well, not just the person the check is made out to.

I contacted both places and fortunately both knew of this and that there had been a number of such letters sent out and did confirm that yes, indeed this was fraud.

The letter states that taxes have to be paid through ""MONEYGRAM" found at every WALMART store or any WESTERN UNION".

Thank goodness that I already knew that you do not need to send money to get winnings, it will be taken out before hand. But I know this sounds so good, especially in todays economy. So, take heed, DO NOT SEND MONEY!!
