I bought in to their scam when they showed me a $74 per month. I did an E-sign, so i "saved" 10 bucks if that. my first letter came in, well more like 3 letters.

1) The welcome book, and at the very end the adjustment notice. they are adding $8 per month because I dont own, nor do i rent... I live with my Parents well there is not option for living with parents so I selected "own" well we do own this house, But Arron from unitrin send "If you are under 25, which i see you are here, you must select rent if you live with parents". I really did not mind the $8 increase as its not much.

2) Next after talking with Arron i remember i have more letters to open. Another Adjustment notice... I ask my self WTF. It is a $2 per month increase because of a speeding ticket. I didn't bother calling back as it was going to be 3 year old next month and not worth the hold time.

3) my final letter, the Amended Declaration page. Fallowed by a page from Underwriting. Well as i am looking at the Declaration page i see my premium is what i was quoted online, and did not reflect my $10 per month increase. The underwriting letter was a demand for an explanation of a at fault accident. So i called and left a voice mail and never heard back. I finally called the claims department and faxed them a State Patrol accident report which CLEARLY stated NOT AT FAULT.

1 week later I get a letter of a adjustment notice, they put the accident on my recorded and added $15 per month. I called and was told I need to talk to Underwriting. So i left a few voice mails over the course of 2 weeks and yet to this day have been called back. I finally said F it I dont want to deal with the hassel they want to jack me up 15% fine.

Alright, So it has been about a month with Unitrin Direct;

Now lets get down to the good stuff, the stuff your reading this for....

1) 2/10 $2 increase for c516.728 WHO GIVES A %&$* 19324

2) 2/16 $5 one time fee adjustment change

3) 2/16 $6 one time installment fee notice

4) 2/18 $10 per month increase for not providing mortgage info (remember I have to be a renter because im under 25 [ef-ing BS])

5) 2/18 $5 one time fee adjustment change

6) 2/18 $6 one time installment fee notice

7) 2/26 $18 per month increase no proof of prior declaration

8) 2/26 $5 one time fee adjustment change

9) 2/26 $6 one time installment fee notice

BUT JUST TODAY ON 03/27/2010 13:28 PST SEATTLE WA:

Forms tracking uprate - $77

amend policy change 63

installment fee 6

ONE MONTH OF UNITRIN DIRECT INSURANCE 2ND PAYMENT GRAND TOTAL OF $329.90

So do I need to spell it out more? Do you want better detail? this is all on paper too... scary thought no?

customer service cant explain anything, customer service does not know what the forms tracking uprate is... so am i a one off customer? or is it my age? my race? my name? Maybe my car? well the Unitrin Direct sucks.com website is coming soon.
