The day that I purchased the vehicle from Car Hop, the salesman asked the mechanic to air up the back passenger side tire, I figured that it was low because it had be sitting.  Upon driving the vehicle from the lot I discovered that the AC did not work. I came out the following morning to find out that the tire was completely flat.  I had to get scramble to get a ride to school because I didn't have time to get the tire changed.

I called Car Hop and spoke with the manager and told her that I had already started having issues with the vehicle and asked it I could simply swap the vehicle for a different one.  I was informed that it would not be possible because they didn't possess the titles for the rest of the vehicle.  The was one of the largest lies that I've heard because they wouldn't be able to continue to sell their junk cars if they didn't have the titles. 

My first payment was not due until Oct 1, 2011 so I refused to make the payment because I started having problems with the brakes and the power steering. I took the vehicle into Firestone to have it completely checked out to find out that it would be well over 1000 dollars to get the vehicle where it needed to be.  Car Hop has a mechanic on site so I know that they knew that the issues were there because they kept reminding me that their warranty only covered the engine, transmission and the drive axle. Wow how funny is that. 

UAC sent a company out to my residence on Oct 17, 2011 at 12:15 a.m. to repo the vehicle.  I contacted UAC later that morning to find out what I needed to do to get my personal belongings out of the vehicle.  I was informed that It would be 45 dollars to get my belongings back.  Then the lady that I spoke with informed me how much it would be to get the vehicle back and that I had 10 days to do this.

No more than 20 minutes after I got off the phone I received another phone call from UAC where I informed that that nothing had changed within the past 20 minutes and the harassment needed to stop.  The following day I received another phone call where I spoke with some unprofessional representative named Shay and I informed that I had already spoke with someone and I was sure that it was noted in their computer.  She was extremely rude and ghetto so I proceeded to tell her that if they continued to call that I would contact the phone company and report them because the harassment was not called for. 

I received an e-mail from the Account Manager Ryan Lidholm on October 21, 2011 at 4:17 a.m. stating that I could make a payment of $150 to get the car back.  I in turned called UAC at 10:15 a.m and I spoke with a representative and informed her that I did not want to speak with Ryan but I wanted the phone calls to stop because I still had time on my 10 days.  She put me on hold and then she came back to the phone stating that they were going to let me out of my contract but there was paperwork that I needed to sign.

She informed me that I would need to go to car hop to sign the paperwork and I informed her that I know my rights and the paperwork could be mailed to me.  She put me on hold again and this time Ryan Lidholm got on the phone being irate and rude.  He told me that the paperwork would not be mailed and that I need to hop on the bus and get to Car Hop and he proceeded to hang up.  I called back and asked to speak to a manager and he refused and hung up again.  I had to call back again I informed him that I had contacted a lawyer and with that being said he went nuts stating that our conversation was over and he would only deal with my lawyer and he proceeded to hang up again. 

My privacy was also invaded because prior to the car being repossessed he UAC called several of my references and told them personal information regarding my account. So one of my references informed them that if they didn't stop calling her she was going to file a complaint with the phone company because they were harassing her and it was uncalled for.  UAC is a company of low rent thugs.  No matter what the situation is customer service is still vital and their customer service skills are the worse that I've ever seen. Car Hop and UAC need to be shut down.
