I was in the market to purchase a car in February, I contacted Universal Hyundai and spoke with a sale representative. The were friendly enough calling me repeatedly assuring that I was coming to see the cars. I finally went in to see a car they had advertized and afetr being told that the car I wanted was no longer available was ahown an other vehicle which was "newer' and a better deal, I was at the dealer for about 2 hrs and got upset with all the stalling and being shuffled between salesmen so I left. The called me again and I agreed to come back in. I eventually purchased the car they had shown me after again being shuffled around for about 3 hrs, it was about 10 pm after having worked from 7 am to 6 pm and then driving in rush hour traffic for about 45mins to get to the dealership. I had my grand children with me an just wanted the whole ordeal over. Even through all the pain, I felt happy with the car as it was nice a decent deal  but when I finally was able to leave with the car (it still needed to be finished being detailed and cleaned and have the tags put on) I felt good sitting in the car. as I left the dealership and came on to the main road, I hear a whinning sound coming from under the car but it wasnt very loud and since the road was wet I thought maybe it was the tires on the pavement. The next day I again noticed the noise and began to try to ascertain where it was coming from. First I thought it was the tire design but eventually I realized it was coming from the left front wheel bearing. I called one of the sales people I had dealt with and informed him of the problem and was told he would inform the main salesman in charge and that they would get back to me. after a few days I attempted to contact the main guy myself with no luck. I then call the first guy again and again was told he would pass along the information, and that he was just a little guy and couldnt do anything for me, that he waould have to get the salesman in charge. I called everyday for several weeks and have not been able to get anyone to talk to me at all. I even had the coutesy desk page the person I needed and after waiting on the phone flr a while the line went dead. Before they sold me the cr the were falling over themselves to talk to me but now I cant get anyone to call me for anything.  I will never buy a car from these people again and I will tell everyone I know not to trust them, I plan to post all my trouble to my facebook and have all my friends share the incident as possible.

You started off so promising..

AUTHOR: Robert - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 30, 2016

You started out so promising.  By you leaving after being shuffled around for a couple hours, you showed that you weren't going to let a dealership take advantage of you.  But then it is like you lost your mind and couldn't do a single thing right if your life dependend on it, where that "Don't tread on me" sign above your head turned into a "Doormat" sign.

First, when you went back you were shuffled around for 3 hours...WHY did you stay?  You were there two hours before and this time you are dragging your grandkids with you.  You should have been out of there after the first "shuffle".

Next, in talking about the Grandkids.  Are you saying that you getting a car couldn't have waited until you were able to go solo?  Kids are a salesman dream, because they know that this brings added stress and let's just say agreeability on the part of the buyer because as you said...you just wanted the whole ordeal over.

But your biggest mistake was it appears you didn't even test drive the vehicle.  Now, if the reason you did not is because of the grandkids, that is another reason why you should have gone back another time.
