People, it is nearly impossible to report to Credit Bureaus without your social Security number. Also, we know they are being reported to a lot different Attorney Generals; so how is it that they are threaten to report you to the Attorney General? They are using scare tatics to have you pay. They have no case at all, and they can't report you either. Lastly You do actually believe you can report to the Attorney General for not paying a magazine subscription? No collection ever threatens customers with that, because the Attorney Generals office would laugh at them!

So they are just harrasing you don't worry about it. just send a letter like this!

#1 Consumer Suggestion

Adam, NOT "nearly" impossible. TOTALLY impossible.

AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 20, 2006

Adam,

A SS# is absolutely required to report an account to a credit bureau.

Most magazine sellers do not subscribe to any credit bureaus anyway. Why would they?

I wouldn't have even wasted that much time or energy on these fools. I would just laugh at them real hard and tell them what morons they are.

Keep in mind that if they are collecting for themselves, the FDCPA does not apply. It only applies to third party collectors.
