After several times trying to just get them to say my last name right, I could tell they were reading from a script or had at least a 3 to 7 day class on how to rip people off!

The story begins like this my mother and father were desperately trying to sell their timeshare, and eventually got sucked into the elaborate pitch of how "Universal Timeshare Sales Associates could ealily sell it for them fast without headache, so my mother unwittingly believed them and through a credit card payment of $1000 went along with hopes of selling their timeshare.

By the grace of God or just pure luck I had called my mom & dad that same day. As it is I am a realestate investor dealing almost several times a week with closings on just about everything as well as tax auctions. That is where afeter asking my mother a few simple questions about these people and a little and simple research something was wrong and a "Stop Payment" was in order without delay to these people.

That was almost a year ago, and guess what they had a buyer and all my mother had to do was relinguish the $1000 dollar payment and the sale of their timeshare was complete. At this point the timeshare FMV(Fair Market Value) is at $16k but my mother is at the point to sell it half price just to get rid of it. But my mother remembered when I told her these people were a legal scam, because making promises if contract wording is is right you can never sue for the money lost.

This is where me armed with probly more information than the fool that Universal Timeshare Assoc. spent how much money to train.

I requested if they had a real buyer then just tell me the day of the closing and I would be happy to bring cash or even a cashiers certified check at that time. This is where the idiot on the phone tried to tell me that can not be done and that is not how closing on realestate is done. UGH! So after a little bit of informing him of truth he started to raise his voice in anger at me. I just told him I was not yelling at him so why should he be yelling at me? This is where I started to have my fun! He was frustrated because he could not legitimately answer important questions and tried to baffle me with BS and it was not working on me.

To get even one better I requested the Buyers name and phone number that wanted to buy my timeshare. Instantly he shouted back at me that if he gave me such info. what would stop me from bypassing them and sell it directly to the buyer? That was a legitimate question, so I suggestted "Universal Timeshare" send me a contract stating upon final sale I am obligatted to pay them the $1,000. Yea that went over well as you might assume. Their explanation was they needed the $1,000 before they could procceed, that is why they have lawyers to do all the work for me. DING DING goes the alarm for me because the only time Ive ever needed a realeastate lawyer was for Forclosures and other title issues.

In the end I was promised all the info I requested, but never got it! In fact i am sure the idot put it in his compter notes on me that to only deal with my mother not me. Oh yea forgot to tell him yes I am Mr so and so, but I am my fathers son of the same last name and my dad passed away over a year ago, and when i say my wife makes wrong choices well, thats my wife not my mother. They think I am my father talking to them.

Want to sell your timeshare then I suggest you visit "Timeshar Users Group" TUG.Com I belive and read all ya can and for like $24.95 to become a member you can advertise all you like.

Universal Timeshare, Western Union & Royal Elite Timeshare Scam

AUTHOR: SBrittany - ()

POSTED: Saturday, July 27, 2013

Universal Timeshare is a SCAM. Yes I was desperate to get rid of my Royal Elite Timeshare, when I was contacted by Universal I was ready to accept help from anyone, I paid the upfront $1, 800 and after a number of weeks of going back and forth they told me they had sold my time share and that they would be closing within the week, that the paper work was being completed as we spoke, and that all they need for them to close the deal and send me my check was for me to go to Western Union and send them a $1, 500 “pre-paid” closing cost payment. Yes Western Union, no US Mail or credit cards involved in this deal. This deal sounds very much like the “Western Union Scam” and you have no recourse when the check doesn’t arrive. No need to make matters worse, stay away from Universal, Royal Elite Timeshare resorts, Western Union and all these deals.
