University Of Phoenix, Axia College At the end of the 3rd block of classes I had a $1776.00 credit, but to continue on to the 4th block of classe I would need $123.00 Phoenix Arizona

I received an email from Patti Lines my financial aid counselor at Phoenix College on October 8, 2007 stating that I had a $1776.00 credit on my account, but I would need to send another $123.00 to start my next block of classes on October 29.

I had enough student loans and pell grants not to owe any money. Instead of paying the $123.00 to continue on to class I sent in a cancellation and withdrew from class after I finished the block of classes I was in. I requested that the $1776.00 be returned to the original lender and I would be withdrawing from the University of Phoenix.

On Thursday, December 20 I received a letter from Patti, stating I still owe $950.00 for a class (does not say what class, but a class.) I retrieved her previous emails stating I had a credit after the last block of classes, what happened to my money and why did you wait almost two months to contact me.

Then I received two more statements stating $513.00 and $437.00 was returned to my lender on December 13, 2007. Why would my lender continue to send the UOP money when I had faxed and emailed a cancellation to ACS in October?

I plan on contacting the Department of Education, my senators and who ever I have to after going over my account I do not owe University of Phoenix.
