I was until very recently a Student of University of Phoenix. They do promise you the world and if you join you will get stuck with a huge loan before you find out that you did not qualify for Federal loans. Thankfully I found out about rip off report from a family member and started asking some questions so Im only stuck with paying off one class.

If you are thinking about going to Student of University of Phoenix, please stop and research before you agree to pay them any moneys. Remember written promises count and verbal promises are with nothing at all.

Your first class you are required to take at University of Phoenix is called Gen 200 Foundations for General Education and Processional Success. Now here is what you get for your $1800:

  • An instructor who is little more then a glorified student! You have that correct they are not even holding a real PhD.  Rather they call themselves "facilitators".

  • You'll waste lots of time writing about "diversity".

  • You'll waste lots of time reading about other nonsense topics that you could have purchased from the bargain bin at your local book store.

  • Your paying them a lot of money to teach you to use their web site.

  • You will find yourself reading the course materials and saying to yourself "really?" and "oh you've got to be kidding".

  • You'll never use anything you supposedly "learned" so called class unless your were a total idiot.
My advise too all prospective students do not walk, but to RUN as fast as you can from the University of Phoenix. Your money would be better spent at your local College or University that offers online programs. Not only will you save yourself large future bills but you also receive a quality education. Ive attended a number of College and Universities over the years and I feel foolish for wasting my money with the UOP. However if your looking just for a diploma go with a diploma mill and save your money and time...
