University of Phoenix UOP financial advisor told me that I qualified for the Teacher Forgiveness loan after I become a HQ teacher when in fact I do not qualify because of previous loans. Tempe Arizona

I went to University of Phoenix to get a teacher degree because I wanted to teach and because of the teachers forgiveness loan. The financial advisor at UOP told me that I qualified for a grant and the teacher forgiveness loan as long as I became highly qualified and teach in a title one school.

I completed their Master's Program in December 2012. I am currently teaching and highly qualify and they are telling me that I do not qualify because of my previous loans. I would not have went back to school if I would known I did not qualify for the teacher forgiveness loan. Now I in debt an extra 26,000.

UOP lied to me.
