I have had a difficult time with this school almost immediately. I was rushed to attend due to some discount being offered for military students so I needed to get all my information in so that I could receive this discount. I had applied for student loans and the only thing that was needed were my transcripts. I was told my my enrollment specialist that things were good to go and I could attend class until the school received them. In November 2007 there was a problem with the transcripts and my financial advisor began to dis-enroll me from class. That issue was finally taken care of but then I applied for a plus loan and proceeded to call the school about certification of that loan, as my stafford loan hadn't been certified as of yet either. This appolo group is responsible for doing the certification and they were taken their time. I would call to find out the status of both my stafford and plus loans and was given the run around each time. I was told that it was moving along and they were waiting for my loan service providers to give them information. I called the loan service provider to try and speed things up and was told that they hadn't received a request from the school so they were not doing anything at the moment.

I would contact the school and was told the problem lie with the loan service provider. It was a big mess when I finally got my stafford money when my first class ended I was pretty feed up with the treatment by the school. Everytime I called it was a chore to one get the people to help me that were suppose to know what was going on with my account. I got my enrollment specialist on the line with my problems as I wasn't receiving help from anyone else and he attempted to help me. What ended up happening is that I caught both my counselor and this "manager" talking about me saying I was a problem and they were not in a rush to help me do anything, etc.
I was contacted by the enrollement counselor's manager and asked what happened and I explained it and the fact that I was going to leave the school. I stayed and finally received my stafford money in January 2008 the over payment. My tuition was suppose to have been paid for the first class and then I was automatically enrolled in the next class. I however decided UOP was not the school for me and begun transfer to another school. I stopped attending my second class and now I am receiving a bill from the school for 6k due to the school sending all of my stafford loan money back to the lender. They did not pay my tuition for the first class and want me to pay the overpayment back to them as well as my tuition that they should have taken the money out for but didn't!

Now I have apollo group calling me saying I can take out a private loan to pay the school back and I only have 60days in which to do so otherwise I go to collection. Everyone I talk to at that school is rude, poorly informed and frustrating to talk to. I have contacted the US Dept of Ed as well as my lender and both are confused as to why they are doing what they are doing and now instead of being rid of them it appears that I have a lot more involvement with them than I would like. UOP is only interesed in money and they could care less about your education.
