I had a very nice man call me stating that my son had requested information about the Act/Sat prep course. After a very lengthy conversation and a 60 day money back guarantee I agreed. It was initially 30 days but he lengthened it to 60. My credit card was charged and we received the material in a timely manner.

My son never reviewed the material. I called within the allotted time and got a confirmation number and mailed it. It cost me over $12 to return. The man who sold the product to me told me that I would not have to pay return shipping. Not true! Lie #1.

I waited ample time for the refund to be credited to my account before calling the company. Heather answered saying that the pkg was received on August 13th and a refund would be issued in 20 business days.

After no refund, I called and spoke to Heather again on September 17th and she says that computer shows that my refund will be processed the next day (Tuesday) . No refund! No answer after over 100 phone calls. Finally send an email on Thursday 9/20.

I contact the San Diego police department and Better Business Bureau on Monday 9/24 to report this company as a scam. I leave countless messages and send many e-mails and finally get to talk to someone on Tuesday 9/25.

This time I am told that my refund was processed on 18th but it takes 5-7 business days before I will see it posted to my account. I have asked repeatedly to speak to Heather's supervisor. He is never in. I have asked for him to call me. He never has called. I have asked for the credit departments phone number due to the fact that Heather has told me that they handle the refunds. She says they do not have a number.

So...after waiting the 5-7 business days AND still no refund AND they are not answering my calls, they respond via e-mail saying that a check has been mailed and it will arrive Friday October 5th. Ridiculous!!!! They never mentioned mailing me a check!!!! Heather will not tell me when the check was mailed.

This scam of a company needs to be forced to honor their refund policy!! Please do not give up! Take legal action! They have gotten away with it for too long!

You can see my other rebuttle to this same type of complaint. (my Name is Lisa Hollister, I am an advsor here at UPC) Our policy is a "point guarantee", that means you actaully have to use it. The 30 day trial, also means you have to at least use it. How can you be dissatidfied with a product, and want to return it if "You son never used it?" Seems as though you took longer to write details of times and dates and peoples names that work here, than you did trying to help you son study for the exams.

I received a check yesterday 10/15 from UPC.  It is very sad to me that, because of their continued inappropriate responses to me,  I have ZERO confidence in them. I don't even trust the check that I received. Now, I just pray that the check is legit. Time will tell....

The entire process of dealing with this company has been ridiculously frustrating!

I do not recommend ordering from them...EVER!
