A man called introducing himself on my voice mail as Officer "Greg Wilson."  This person was definately from a foreign country.  The message that was left stated that my fiance had committed a fraud with a finance company using my name and number as family reference.  Said that the "Finance company has come up with legal case against my fiance (stated his name)  and he wanted me to convey the message to my fiance because he could help him out of this "legal mess."" Left call back #: 469-821-0335 which is completely different than the number that was on my caller ID.

FYI. My fiance told me he recently filled out an online application for a loan through money mutual.  He never received a loan of any sort but I believe that because he filled out the application he is being targeted.  Ever since then, he has been getting odd phone calls and because he put my number down as a reference, i have been getting calls as well.

There are multipul camplaints online through sites like 800notes and whocallsme.

same scenario

AUTHOR: Voss - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, March 14, 2011

I had the same thing happen. I applied for a loan online roughly 6 months ago and am now getting calls from "Kevin Clark" wit UNLD. He claims to have a pending case on my SS# (which he gave incorrectly) at my home addres (also incorect). He tried scaring me wit the names of my references and asked for updated info as well as a cash settlement for money given to me that I never received. He will try and scare you by saying this is a Federal Offense but don't fall for it! He called my work number and since our lines actually are recorded I advised him of this and he disconnected.

do not give any imformation

AUTHOR: Steph - (USA)

This is a scam do not give this caller any imformation such as SS#s bank imformation . This scum bag will clean it out.

If this caller ask for it tell him that your ss# is none of his d**n business and hang up. If he contuinues to call your # and cell and you have call reject on your phone use it and if you have the option to block the # from calling your cell use it.

If you want to have some fun with them the next time they call imform them that you are FBI and the call is being recorded and if they call again they will be arrested for fraud
