I made the unfortunate mistake of hiring this company to load my rented moving truck. I hired them through Movinghelp dot com. The two helpers showed up the day of the move. Everything seemed fine until I caught them loading my antique wicker furniture set in the truck without using any of the 5 dozen furniture pads provided. I am talking painted wicker table, upside down on a bare moving truck floor with stuff piled on top of it. They went an hour over the 4 hours they said they could do the work in and in the end, they were just tossing items in the truck.

The rental truck was then driven down the Interstate in rush house traffic at no more than 30mph. No sharp turns, no reckless driving. Upon unloading it, it was discovered that things had shifted terribly and I mean TERRIBLY due to the bad job the loaders had done. A granite pub table was busted and every piece of wood furniture I owned, wicker set included, had paint damage.

Upon notifying the company, I was told to file a claim as they are Bonded and Insured. I did and even provided pictures of what the truck looked like when we opened the back. To my surprise my claim was denied because, and I quote, I “did not properly supervise the helpers”. I did not realize that I needed to explain to PROFESSIONALS how to properly load a moving truck to keep items from shifting so badly, things get destroyed.

When I voiced my disapproval to the owner, I was then told the table broke because the truck was driven recklessly. Claim still denied.

So, I am here to warn anyone that is even thinking of using this company to be very aware of their practices. You may hire them and they may do great work, but if they damage anything, they will point a finger at you and deny your claim. Here is what I suggest if you really want to take the risk:

Hire them ONLY through Movinghelp dot com. MovingHelp will give you a payment code to give to them ONLY WHEN YOU ARE SATISFIED with their work. Withhold that code until you have inspected EVERYTHING you own and I mean everything, even if it takes you days. That way if there is damage, they don’t get paid until you are satisfied. I wish I had of done this.
Make sure you watch them like a hawk and don’t fall for them asking for a tip. If you have to spend as much time as they do watching their every move, you need to pay yourself that money. Your time is worth something.

I seriously would highly advise against using them. There are so many other companies out there that care about their customers. I have used several loading and unloading companies and I have never come across such rude, cruel and “scammy” feeling moving help in my life.

They are also an authorized UHAUL dealer. Again, I would take my business elsewhere.

Yovone Cole Breach of Contract, Defermation of Charector, Harrasement.

AUTHOR: UNLOADING SERVICES - ()

POSTED: Friday, August 16, 2013

Yovone Cole found her thing damaged 49 days after Unloading Services loaded her truck. If Yovonne were to tell the truth about the thing it would go like this. " I found my thing 49 days after I put the thing away. The thing was not the same. I thought to myself why is the thing not the same. It could have the loaders that loaded the thing. It could have the drivers that drove the thing. It could have been the unloaders that unloaded the thing. It could have been the 49 days I did not keep a eye on the thing. It could have been almost anything. Perhaps if I ask the loaders to pay for the thing it wont cost me anything. I forgot I told the loaders that after loading the thing they would not need to pay for anything that happend to the thing. Now I still do not want to pay for the thing I do not want to pay anything. I told the loaders if they do not pay for the thing I will do everything to see they do not do anything. The loaders said "We will not pay for the thing we will not pay anything, you said you would pay for thing". We are sorry to hear about Yovonne's thing it was just fine when we loaded the thing. We love Yovonne and hope everything works out good for her and the thing.

Seriously? Is this the 3rd grade?

Oh my gosh. So threatening to file a claim with the BBB and write reviews about MY experience with your company on Yahoo, Yelp and other review sites (including this one), is extortion and "slander" to you? Wow. Just wow.

Your nasty tone of voice with me, your inability to treat me like a paying customer, will never, ever, make me think differently of how my table was damaged. Name calling, word twisting and refusing to admit that hey, maybe your guys did do a bad loading job, will never sway my opinion of how my table was broken. Ever. Period. I am in utter, and total, disbelief about the way you are handling this. The bottom line is this. You have an unhappy customer on your hands. You are a business owner. Either deal with it like a professional or get over it. This playground banter is not in the customer service handbook, I can assure you.

By the way, "approved", "completed", "completion", "their".  You're welcome. :-)

Yovonne C Looks For Excuses

AUTHOR: UNLOADING SERVICES - ()

POSTED: Thursday, August 15, 2013

Yovone C has no idea how her table was damaged. She called us 49 days after we loaded her U-Haul truck. Said she found a damaged table and was looking for someone to replace it for her. She thinks it may have been due to our loading of the truck that she supervised and aproved. Anything could have damaged it, after the loading. She said if we do not pay her extortion she would slander our name on the internet.  Mrs C agreed after we compleated loading her u-haul that she would assume all responsibility for any damages after the services were compleated. This fact alone is a testament to her character. Anyone can see by the rhetoric she is writing that it is void of any facts or evidence. Mrs C keep your word and tell the truth. Just say "Yes, I agreed Unloading Services would be held harmless for damages after compleation of there services" & "I'm not sure how the goods were damaged it might not have been the fault of Unloading Services" . The truth will set you free.

Franklin Thompson should look in the mirror

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, August 14, 2013

Tsk, tsk. Mr. Thompson, you rent UHAULS. Is UHAUL aware that you are telling customers to file claims against their cargo insurance? In any case, as I am sure you know, UHAUL cargo insurance only covers damage to belongings if the truck is involved in a collision, fire, windstorm or overturn of the rental truck. They do not cover belongings for the way they were loaded into the truck.

And now look at who can't be honest. Not ONCE did you ask if I had cargo insurance. Also I NEVER said I drove 150 miles down I-25 I don't know where you are getting those numbers, but the truck did not travel 150 miles with my belongings in it. Not even half of that. Yes, the average speed the truck went on the drive down was about 30 mph. From Castle Rock on down, there was rush hour traffic AND road construction. It was very stop and go. It took well over 2 hours to get here. Anyone traveling that stretch of highyway would vouch for that.

You have been very good at pointing a finger at me. Now you are pointing a finger at the unloaders? As soon as the back of the truck was opened, before they even STARTED to unload it, they came and got me because it was such a mess. I took pictures and stood right there as everything was brought off because boxes and items had shifted to badly. I did open a few boxes that looked smashed to make sure things inside were ok (like a box of computer monitors and a box of crystal decanters). I did note all of the damage to the wood furniture, but decided I would just take care of that on my own.

The pub table box was one that did not get opened right away and of course, it was broken.

If you want to try and make me look like the bad person here and insinuate that I am filing claims with everyone, feel free to contact Guerilla Men Movers. They are the ones that unloaded me and did an amazing job too, I mght add. I would absoloutely hire them again in a heartbeat. Check with them to see if I have filed any claims. You will find there are none.

It is more than clear that you are not going to do the right thing here. I told you that I would write reviews about your company and tell my story, wherever I could. I am keeping to that which is my right as a disgruntled customer. If you want to continue with this silly back and forth, by all means. Go ahead. You are only making my case for me to any potential customers reading this. How you treat me, verbally as well, is how they will see you potentially treating them. And no customer likes to be called a liar.

Yovonne Cole can not tell the truth

AUTHOR: UNLOADING SERVICES - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, August 14, 2013

Yovonne contacted us 49 days after the services were compleated. She said she damaged some of her goods while driving 150 miles down interstate I-25 in a U-Haul truck she rented. She states she was driving at 30 miles per hour on the interstate highway for 150 miles. 49 days earler when Mrs Cole hired our helpers to help her load the u-haul truck she agreed that once we no longer had control of her goods that she would hold us harmless for any damage after she drove away ( at 30mph ). This is standard practice everywhere for moving help. If any goods had been damaged while they were in the control of the helpers we would have been more than willing to pay for them. We pay our share of claims as things do from time to time get damaged. We asked Mrs Cole if she had gotten the cargo insurance from u-haul. She did not reply. She might have started a claim with them as well. She also may have started a claim with the folks that unloaded her truck as they could have been the cause as well.

Oh, I am keeping my word.

POSTED: Tuesday, August 13, 2013

You were contacted 30 days after the move because the table top had not been unboxed yet. It was sitting in the garage, right where the unloaders placed it and I watched them place it there. Then again, according to you, I could have contacted you that same day and it would not matter to you. You have the same answer for anyone that complains. It isn't your fault.

You cannot look at the pictures of the inside of that truck and tell me that anyone other than your "helpers" are at fault. You, Mr. Thompson, are a coward that refuses to take responsibility and points fingers at your paying customers, accusing them of "not properly supervising" YOUR employees and "driving recklessly".

There are a lot more people that have been victms of your poor business practices. I will make sure thier stories are heard as well.

Customer is not keeping her word.

AUTHOR: UNLOADING SERVICES - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, August 13, 2013

This customer contacted us 2 months after her job was compleated.

Said her goods were damaged during transporation. And wanted us to pay for them.

We are moving HELPERS not movers. The customer supervised the helpers loading of the truck and said she would hold harmless the helpers for any damages after the job was compleated. Anything could have damaged her goods, careless driving, the folks hired to unload her. We always pay for anything we damage, but not for things other folks damage.
