Unlocktotalk UNLOCKTOTALK.COM Charged me $149.95 to have phones unlocked to I could switch providers 3 mths ago & told me today my phones wouldn't work & they refuse refund Internet

First off, let me say that I am actually a competitor of UnlcokToTalk, so I have no interest in their well being. But this is just becoming an epidemic. 
When you purchase an unlock code for a cell phone it is YOUR responsibility to do several things. 
1.) Make sure the phone you have can be unlocked and used in the Country you want to use it in.
2.) Make sure the carrier allows unlocked cell phones.

These codes are not free hidden somewhere that only Unlocktotalk has access to. They have to order these codes and they cost money.  They do not get refunded becasue their customer was too dumb to do their research so why should they refund the customer?

Unlocking a cell phone only allows you to use talk and text on another cell phone provider that accepts sim cards. Nothing else. If internet doesnt work, not their problem. If anything else doesnt work, not their problem. If the carrier doesnt want you to use the phone, then its not their problem.  

And people really need to find out what they are buying before they buy it. You waste peoples time this way. If you have cdma cell phones and do not want someone to program them for you, which cannot be done by a code, then dont order the d*mn things.

I read over this again and realize I may have mistaken this person for someone else.   It would be nice if we could see actual names of customers so we knew out of the thousands of people that were satisfied, the one who was not.   If this site really were unbiased and here for the good of consumers it would require the names of customers at least for the company owner to see as well... just like BBB does.   But this website is for nothing more than anonymous slander and there is no way to resolve a problem without knowing who it was from.  

In reading this more thoroughly it sounds like he had his phones flashed or reprogrammed, not unlocked.   It also states clearly on the order page that WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE for a service provider not being willing to activate the phones we flash or reprogram.   It also states clearly on the website that our service DOES NOT ENABLE INTERNET!

Please take responsibility for your own ignorance instead of expecting something that was not advertised after we completed the service that was.  This service to flash 5 phones takes over 30 minutes per phone.   It is obvious why we cannot refund this service.   We don't work for free.   Do you?

We issued the buyer unlock codes to unlock the GSM part of the BlackBerry dual CDMA and GSM cell phones.   Then the buyer expected the CDMA part to work I guess for free with internet.    Obviously this is impossible and it is not our responsibility to educate the buyer about what feautures his phone has.   Our 100% money back guarantee applies to the unlocking of the phones.   If you buy a GSM unlock code it applies to unlocking the GSM part.   The buyer bought GSM unlock codes which unlocked the GSM part of the phones.   End of story.   We also do not state anywhere on the website that unlocking a phone will enable internet features.   Infact, on the CDMA part of the website we state that it will not!

Please take the time to become educated rather than expecting others to pay for your mistakes because you are not.   This is like saying the 5 sandwhiches you bought from Subway and already ate didn't taste good because you forgot to mention that you wanted mustard on them, so you want a refund from Subway.   Do you think they will refund?   Of course not, so why should we?
